SOURCE: No TV audio coming from Sony DAV-HDX500.
If you are trying to make your TV audio come out your Sony system, you didn't say what the input to your TV was from (ex;Cable TV,Sat TV).
Sometimes it is easier to take the external (cable or Sat) out puts and feed the video into the TV but the red white into the AMP (TV input)then select TV on your AMP to hear TV.
Also some tv's need to make a speaker choice! go to Set up and change the speaker set up for the TV, you may have to tell the TV no speakers to create out put to Amp from the REd White TV out put.

Thanks for responding. I really do not want to spend more on this..
I tried connecting my subwoofer to 2 of the 4 other speaker outputs in the receiver (just beside sub-woofer output slot) and it works. But, I am not sure If that is giving me the complete effect.. I al looking for a connector that has one male input to two female outputs.. That way I shoul dbe able to connect these both idiots.. ;)

have you checked your settings menues yet regions should be selectable
for that new of a player
i recomend buring your dvds with out a region code or atleast a region code that conforms to your standard player ! search downloads.com for an aplication to do this

Get some single strand wire 18 or 20 gage about 5 feet. Strip about 3/8 of an inch of insulation from one end and put that end into the plug. Thats all you need.
