Temperature setting on air conditioner never reached. Whats wrong? doesnt turn off all nite never reached setiing

shut unit off and wait at least 5-10 minutes before re-starting. do not want compressor to struggle to start. good luck!

no it is not due to any thermostat issue, just set the temp 2 degree low.

Any temperature you set it at, the AC unit will turn ON and OFF automatically. Once the set temperature has been reached and held for 5 minutes, the unit turns OFF, but the fan may continue to blow for a few minutes. When the room temperature rises above the set level, it will automatically turn ON again and continue to run, until the set temperature is reached and it turns OFF.

How far from the unit or room do you have the remote? remember the remote is the sensor, if it isnt near the unit it will not shut off! place the remote 8 feet from the unit and leave it there, if it doesnt shut off, it was installed wrong or is malfunctioning!

You have some issues that probably need to be addressed by a Certified Tech asap. There's an off chance that it could be just thermostat related. If you feel confident on doing what I'm about to instruct go ahead and try it.If you turn off electricity to your unit(should be marked as A|C or furnace or the like if you have the unit on and turn off at the panel it's easier to locate) you can take the cover off your thermostat and you will find various wires. Unscrew the R, Y, and G wires(if they;re not colored red yellow green make a diagram as to which goes where) and twist them together, Then turn electric back onto unit. If the unit runs normally as it should, then you have a thermostat problem and need to get a new one right away. Remember you unit is worth $2,000 to $6000 don't let and electrical malfunction compromise the value, if it.s not the thermostat get someone qualified to look at it. Leave it off til they get there. If you have an air conditioner with a temperature display, use the up or down arrows on the touch pad to change the temperature setting.

However, if you have an air conditioner with only a dial that goes from 1 to 8 (or whatever number), turn the dial up as high as it goes and put the fan speed on high. When the desired comfort level is reached, slowly turn the dial down until the compressor just shuts off. You will be able to hear when this happens.

If the temperature gets a bit too warm turn the dial up in small increments and wait an hour or so to see if your comfort level is reached.

call dometic dealer. I hear they have a bad circuit board that is replaced.

My problem is the fan never goes off runs 24-7 and you can hear the compressor kick in from time to time. Is something wrong or do they all do that for a roof top unit? Any help on this one?

suspect a stuck contactor on condenser unit or cooling relay stuck

Go to www.mrslim.com. Look under the tab for library. Ib there you will find the troubleshooting guide for this model. Make sure the remote is set for cool and make sure the fan setting is not on automatic.
