How to fix pfc 2100 - Laguna Pressure - Flo Uvc Filter: Pf 2100

It shows as a "PFC protection" error. Whatever that is.
Here is a cut/paste of the explanation. If you are like me, you won't know anymore after you read the explaining. Enjoy.

*PFC (power factor correction; also known as power factor controller) is a feature included in some computer and other power supply boxes that reduces the amount of reactive power generated by a computer. Reactive power operates at right angles to true power and energizes the magnetic field. Reactive power has no real value for an electronic device, but electric companies charge for both true and reactive power resulting in unnecessary charges. PFC is a required feature for power supplies shipped to Europe.
In power factor correction, the power factor (represented as "k") is the ratio of true power (kwatts) divided by reactive power (kvar). The power factor value is between 0.0 and 1.00. If the power factor is above 0.8, the device is using power efficiently. A standard power supply has a power factor of 0.70-0.75, and a power supply with PFC has a power factor of 0.95-0.99.
PFC is not used solely for computer power supplies. In other industries, PFC equipment is used to reduce the reactive power produced by fluorescent and high bay lighting, arc furnaces, induction welders, and equipment that uses electrical motors.

Power off at the isolator for 10 mins then switch back on and try again. If error code persists, then it is most likely the controller in the outdoor unit.
Excessive voltage of DC voltage on PFC circuit in inverter PCB is detected, or the excessive current in the circuit is detected.

Thereby it makes operation smooth in high-frequency area. The sine wave control enables soft operation in low frequency area, Thereby expanding the product's operating range. Here are the steps they recommend in the users manual for a c55 error.



5.1.11 Optional communication related service call
[C55] ADF I/F error
[F11] ADF I/F error
(1) Check if the connector CN71 on the ADF/RADF board is disconnected.
(2) Check if the relay connector between the ADF/RADF board and the PFC board is disconnected.
(3) Check if the connector CN246 on the PFC board is disconnected.
(4) Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open circuited.
(5) Check if the conductor patterns on the ADF/RADF board and the MAIN board are short circuited
or open circuited.
(6) Replace the ADF/RADF board.
(7) Replace the MAIN board

There are several fuses on the power supply board.

Usually the one that fails is not the main AC line fuse (which is close to the AC line input), but the PFC fuse located, you guessed it, next to the PFC regulator IC on the board.

When the PFC fuse is blown (measuring open) you also need to replace the PFC IC and possibly other components on the board. Most of the time the PFC is sufficient though.

Unless the igbt's are being overloaded then the usual suspect area is the driver/switching. Usually that section fails and they latch on and POP.

C56 is communication error between the PFC and the CPU on the main PWA
Check the connector of the replay PWA, PFC PWA, main PWA

Go to this link. Select Windows XP in the Select OS box. Download the driver and follow instructions to install the driver. Do not connect or turn on the printer until the installation program tells you to do so.
