Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. it only means ur ps3 overheated.. read the instruction manual.. its all there.. when your ps3 starts to blink red it means it overheated.. dont use it for a week or two.. it might work then
