I have an Acer Aspire E1 with touch screen, and I have just tried installing the Cluefinders 6th grade adventures game. The installation went fine until at the very end, a popup box told me some sort of issue with 64 bit. Is there a fix for this so that I may run the game?

This message is asking you to choose the system type of your computer. If you are not sure what that is you can find that information by:
go to start menu
right click on my computer
select properties
when this window pops up you will see system type under the second section that is classified system.

According to the company's website (http://www.amazon.com/Learn-to-Speak-German-8-1/dp/system-requirements/B00005TQ1E/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&n=229534&s=software), it works on Windows up to XP. It doesn't list Vista or Windows 7 as options. And it looks like others have had the same problem (http://www.fixya.com/support/t5241472-learn_speak_german_version_8_0 and http://www.fixya.com/support/t514069-let_learn_speak_german_8_0_run_windows). However if you have the Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise version of Windows 7 you might be able to run it in compatibility mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx or http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows).
Hope this helps!

Try right-clicking on the actual Setup.exe and selecting the "Run As Administrator" option? Do so even if your user is an Admin.
hope it helps
