Why does my precor C954i keep shutting off

Try to calibrating the lift motor. The following link will take you to a service manual. Check pages 14-15.

It might be crossing its excess weight limit...read the manual

Precor Error LS, Speed Sensor Signal Missing Probable Cause 1. Intermittent or open connection of the speed sensor (reed switch) wiring.
2. Reed switch is defective or has intermittent connection.
3. Drive motor brushes are bad.
4. Lower PCA is bad.
Corrective Action

1. Inspect the speed sensor (reed switch) wiring for damage or poor connection to the lower PCA. Replace damaged wiring or reset connection as necessary.
2. Using an ohm meter, test the reed switch while rotating the drive pulley. The reed switch will close when the magnet passes in front of it.
3. Inspect the drive motor brushes and replace if necessary.
4. Test unit with a known good lower PCA. Replace lower PCA if necessary.

Precor Error Code LS

Precor Error 16, AC Input Voltage Too Low Probable Cause 1. AC input voltage is incorrect.
2. Treadmill operating on undersized AC wiring and/or is drawing high current.
Corrective Action

1. Verify AC feed into the building's circuit breaker is correct and connected to the proper transformer tap.
2. The AC wiring must be sized to handle 20 amps of current over the loop length of the AC wiring. Voltage drop across the AC input wiring is a result of the length of the wire run multiplied by the amount of current being demanded by the treadmill. The longer the run and the higher the current the large the wire must be.Verify the unit is connected to an isolated and dedicated 20 amp circuit.

Precor Error 16

1) adjust the reed swithc, clean , and tigh the wire connectors very well
2) run the software calibration for diagnostic and troubleshooting.

1) Under cover the main motor or in your instruction manual, there are section for calibration.

2) I recommend that you do it, in accordance with the instructions.

3) If you do not have owner manual go to website: www. precor.com

go to customer service, then parts& manual give your model, etc and download for free. you can go too for free www. iconservice.com with the same procedure.

Precor Error 29, Excessive AC Input Current Probable Cause 1. The running belt and/or deck are badly worn.
2. Bad lower PCA.
3. Drive motor is shorted or de-magnetized causing a high power demand.
Corrective Action

1. Check the amp draw using a clamp on AC volt-amp meter during loaded and no load conditions and compare values to a similar treadmill that is known to have a good running belt and deck. Replace the belt and/or deck if necessary. Don't forget, some units have a double sided deck which means it may be flipped over rather than replaced if it has an unused side.
2. Test unit with a known good lower PCA. Replace lower PCA if necessary.
3. Test unit with a known good drive motor. Replace drive motor if necessary.

Precor Error Code 29

The key pad is not functioning properly thus this error is flashed you will need to replace key pad. Since I don't know where you are then the place to get the part is from precor directly the will ask Model & Serial #s
