My sony kp-57ws520 standby light flashes 9 times picture will not come on

Diodes are blown on the G board ( POWER BD) replace the G board.

you may want to cheak the lamp its might be burnt out. They can be replaced though so dont buy a new tv.

thats caused by failed zero cross diodes on the G board. You can get the G board repaired from www.tvrepairworld.com replacement boards are no longer available for that model.

need to know the number of blinks as thats an error code. it should blink a series of blinks pause briefly then repeat the sequence.

Standby flashes 9 times. Can't turn off TV. No picture. No sound.
Press on sony remote in this order "display - 5 - volume dn. - power" to see self diagnostics. But to fix it you'll need a tv repairman to fix the Zero Cross Detect circuit.

I don't know wheather you are capable of soldering and desoldering or not or for that matter checking components but most likely d6301 on the G board(power board) is bad. It is part number 6-500-567-21. They say d6116 could also be causing the problem it is also on the g board and it is part number 8-719-081-97.
