Hi , that 's is a internal fault, most likely a bad connection to the controller, at worse it 's a fault with the controller.

hi, the first thing to look at is the speed pot (wigwam), sounds like either it come loose so the pot is in the incorrect position or the track inside the pot is damaged or the wire for the reserse side has broken or come away.

Hi. When you say in and out of gear, does it free-wheel or just not drive? The jerking could be caused by faulty motor brushes. Fitting new brushes or getting the motor overhauled would probably fix this.
