Search for your model number on sears site. If 0 results, search google with your model number. Owners manual usually has diagram.

My craftsman gs6500 mower stopped running after about 3hrs of hard cutting and when you try to start it the hour meter desplays CH6 OIL what does that mean the oil is right up and clean

Craftsman DGS6500 Garden Tractor 24 HP Kohler engine. Messages says CH6 Oil - what does it mean? Oil is full and new.

It means change the oil. It will come on every 50 hours regardless when the oil was last changed, then go off after a few hours.

Toro LX500 CH 6 oil light went on and will not go off

Hey Jamie..im pretty sure that light means its time to change the oil..and when you do change the oil..reset the counter..i hope this has helped

it should reset itself automatically after about an hour running. it is just a reminder to change the oil and doen't affect operation

What weight oil should I use for 16 horsepower craftsman engine?

It all depends on the engine you have...all engines except for KOHLER can use straight 30 and Kohler uses only 10W30.

SERVICE REMINDER/HOUR METER
Service reminder shows the total number of hours the engine
has run and flashes to indicate that the engine or mower needs
servicing. When service is required, the service reminder will
flash for two hours. To service engine and mower, see the
Maintenance section of this manual.
NOTE: Service reminder runs when the ignition key is in any
position but “STOP”. For accurate reading, be sure key remains
in the “STOP” position when engine is not running.
