The original starting part QP2-4.7G is equivalent to this one. the 4.7G .... the PTC, so at this price, buy a spare because in year or two, you'll need another one.

Where can I purchase a starter for my VISSANI hvbc31st in the Dallas, Texas Area

Joe you probably wont find it locally in Dallas. I live in San Antonio and could not. Your best and cheapest bet is go to amazon and look up a single pin 4.7 ohm ptc. They have the exact replacement, but it comes from china so it will take a few weeks, but on the plus side it is only a couple of bucks.
For the more impatient and adventurous person like me you can also buy a similar designed 2 pin 22ohm ptc from amazon via prime shipping and get it in a few days. Open it up and take out the ceramic ohm disc and replace the broken one in the original one. Then wait for the right ones to come in from China. Frig wont get cold starter over load is clicking

first, remove ptc overload/relay (starter) off the compressor, then check compressor terminals on compressor by taking an ohm-meter and checking the terminals for resistance first one meter to the single terminal and one lead to each of the other terminals one at a time, then the meter leads between the two terminals there will be about 5 to 11 ohms on the first readings and a combined resistance on the second reading, then one lead to the compressors metal case and the other lead to each terminal there should be no resistance at all,if the readings are in line then simply replace the starter ptc

Compressor is short,Model FF 350.This is 350 lt.double door frost free fridge.Compresser needs to be replaced,It is bought in April 2003

If you have had recent power failures, OFTEN the PTC motor starter for the compressor gets fried. The part can cost $50 or if you shop online as low as $2. What happens is if power briefly goes off and compressor has been running, the pressure is built up and when pwoer comes right back on, the PTC starter cannot start the compressor under pressure. Usually the compressor will get hot and just hum. The PTC unit is in a box that plugs on the side of the compressor. There is a capacitor that survives this and if you reuse that, you can get just the PTC part for less than $2.

The PTC is a little disk about the size of a quarter and fourr times as thick. It comes in a plastic box that the capacitor plugs onto and the whole thing then plugs onto the compressor.

PULL off PTC relay WITH terminals by pulling HORIZONTALLY (Usually to the left / 9 O'clock position)
NOTE the thermal overload comes off WITH the PTC relay.
Remove wire from Thermal overload terminal and transfer the thermal overload to the new PTC relay.
Slide NEW PTC relay onto compressor terminals
Transfer remaining wires from OLD PTC to the correct terminal on the new PTC relay.

TEST compressor start before installing cover... PLUG in unit

After the test unplug the unit... reinstall the plastic cover and wire clip.

Buzzing sound and not cooling

it looks like you have a bad compressor. try replacing the ptc starter and the run capacitor, if it did not change anything, then you have a bad compressort that needs to be replaced. if those parts are expensive, test the capacitor by using an analog meter, test the terminal using the X100 resistance. the meter needle should indicate continuity and slowly goes back to infinity. then reverse the terminals to the test prods and it should happen again. then test the resistance of the ptc starter, it should have a reading between 20 ohms and 100 ohms. and there whould be no rattling sound inside the ptc starter. hope i was able to help...
