SOURCE: does not sync

stivshekar
Try to do a full restore in disk mode.
1. Put your iPod into disk mode - Press top and center buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple symbol come up. As soon as you see the Apple symbol press the center and bottom (play) buttons simulataneously until you see a check mark. After this try to restore in iTunes. We recommend manually managing music versus syncing. But that is a personal choice. If you sync then going to another computer will wipe your music.
2. If 1 doesn't work try removing all USB devices from your computer and reboot. Then restore again either normally or disk mode.
3. Let us know, if you need further assistance.

SOURCE: iPod MA146LL/A no sound

The license on the songs may be expired - i would check on that first.

If not, do the 5 R's suggested in the User's manual - go to Apple's website if you have lost the manual.

SOURCE: my ipod classic 80 gb wont restore and keeps clicking

Listen to the iPod when it is connected to the computer. Do you hear repetitive clicking sounds from the hard drive? If so, your hard drive is broken. It's not too hard to replace the hard drive yourself. Here is an iPod Repair Guide that shows how to open an iPod. Parts are easily available on Ebay. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to iPad Repair

Memory loss on ipod

The ipod nanos the smallest product in the Apple iPod line. The fourth generation Nano comes in two different capacities, each capable of holding thousands of songs.
    Capacities
  1. The fourth generation iPod Nano comes in 8 GB and 16 GB models. The 8 GB version can hold 2,000 songs, and the 16 GB version can hold 4,000 songs.
  2. Tips
  3. Song capacity estimates are based on music encoded in Apple's proprietary format at a standard, average bitrate. The higher the bitrate, the better the quality. Songs deviating from Apple's standard (for example, CD-quality music or high bitrate MP3s) will use more disk space.
  4. History
  5. Nano's predecessor, the iPod Mini, was released on January 6, 2004, and was available with a 4 GB hard drive. The Nano was first released on September 7, 2005, and was the first iPod to use flash memory. It was first available in 2 GB and 4 GB versions. The fourth generation Nano was released on September 9, 2008.
  6. Size
  7. The fourth generation iPod Nano is 3.6" tall and 1.5" wide.
  8. Video
  9. The third generation Nano, released on September 5, 2007, was the first Nano to feature video playback. Storing videos on Nano can dramatically reduce the amount of songs it can hold.

IPOD showing "other" using 1/3 of memory

The 6.91 GB space is whatever software that has been preinstalled on the iPod and shouldn't be erased .If your PC is suggesting that the iPod has to be formatted then back up the music/photo files you want to keep elsewhere and then format the iPod if you are solely going to use the PC youre working on/using for music file uploads to format the iPod.

80G Ipod Classic skips songs

Try converting the songs into a different format because the format that the song is in might not completely be played on the ipod. Right click on the song and click on convert to mp3. Then try transferring the mp3 format song onto the ipod and it should play right then.
