Why does my answers machine say it's full,when it's not?

Remove and replace the cartridge, it will think there's an empty cartridge in it now.

What model Uniden answering machine? Is the mailbox full? If the mailbox is full then the machine can't record any more messages.

Without know what voice mail system you are talking about you cannot be helped.

Your answering machine is set to "announce." In this mode it can announce that you're not available to take the call but will not record a message. The machine automatically switches to this mode when its memory is full.
If the memory is not full, you can switch from the "announce" mode to the "answer" mode by pressing the [ANSWER ON/OFF] button until it lights up in red.

The digital memory is full according to the error.

You will have to remove some old messages.


If this is not the case try unplugging it from the power source for 30 minutes then plugging it back in to clear the error.

We have the same problem, but there are no apparent batteries in our unit.  Is the 'Z1' component some funky battery and did you unsolder it?  Thanks!
