My Jacuaai pump for my bathtub will not turn off except at the breaker box.

I checked the plastic tube that runs from the pump to the side of the Jacuzzi at the finger push switch and it appears to be okay however, I cut off the ends of the tube and reattached in case the air flow from the switch was leaking air without any results. Any other suggestions?

SOURCE: Indoor jacuzzi bathtub problem

Just add 1/2 cup bleach to a full tub of clean water, turn on the jets.

Grab a small goldfish strainer / net and scoop out the moldy chunks.

Keep cycling the water until most of the chunks are gone.

Drain the rub, refill and add 1/2 cup bleach again, repeating the process.

The problem is caused by water left in the lines after use, and it turns moldy.

After each use...drain the tub completely, then turn on the jets for about 10 seconds. This will purge the lines of any standing water.

Fill the tub with clean water and cycle the jets with bleach once a week to prevent any further problem.

Hope this helps...it worked for me, I had the same problem.

SOURCE: Rapid Heater for Jacuzzi

The light is supposed to be on when the tub is full of water and the pump comes on. Make sure the heater is plugged into a seperate breaker, it cannot be on the same line as the pump.
Look on the heater for a label. If your heater is installed on the discharge side of the pump it should say "pressure heater" on it. If it is installed in front of the pump it should say "Vacuum Heater" on it.
Once installed, fill the tub with water and turn the pump on. If it is installed in the correct position the light will come on when the pump turns on.

SOURCE: Kohler bathtub spa does not work at all

If the air tube is still connected to the air button on the side of the tub and you are pushing it with no results then either the motor is no good, the air button is no good or the air switch in the box is no good.
process of elimination, start with the pump. take the switch off the motor or out of the box and make sure you can get the motor to come on. If the motor comes on then move to the air switch and hook it back up and see if you can blow into the air switch with a new air button or a straw and see if the switch will activate the pump. if it does then you most likely have a bad air button ($12). If you cannot get it to activate the pump then the air switch is bad ($21).

SOURCE: "Jacuzzi j-400 series" hot tub- F1 code flashes on control panel

There are two things you can check, there is a tranformer that plugs into the main circuit board(usually a four wire plug). Unplug and check pins for good connection and then reconnect There are usually one or two fuses inside the control box mounted on or near the circuit board. Turn off power to spa and pull fuses and check continunity. This is a good start.

Repairng the air button on jacuzzi tub

Richard,
There are two pieces to an air switch, one is the bellows button which you push to turn the pump on and off, the other is the air switch located on the pump with a plastic tube coming out of it. In the newer models the switch is located on the top of the pump in a small black box secured by two screws. My money is on the switch on the pump, I have rarely seen a bellows go bad. You might want to find some aquarium pump tubing and attach it to the tube location on the back of the pump, fill the tub and blow into the tube. If the pump comes on, its the bellow, if the pump does not come on then it is the switch located on the pump

1980's jacuzzi bathtub, won't turn on (seems to be the kind when you push a button in to turn on), no outside electrical panel, no clear point of access (tiled on side of tub) - where do we start?

you will need to open up the back of the tub where the pump is and see if there is a clear tube about 1/4" OD attached to the backside of it close to the pump cord.
If it is there then you will need to check out the air switch on the motor that the air tubing attaches to to see if it is good. If it will activate the pump when you blow into it with a straw then the air button on the top of the bathtub is probably bad and needs to be changed. if it does not turn the pump on/off when you blow into it then you will need a new air switch.

Bathtub pump totally dead, pump ran dry for 10 sec, is there circuit breakers on pump motors, switch or is it the motor shot. any way to test motor with removing it?

Normally pump motors are connected on a separate
circuit with its own circuit breaker. At your house there is always a electrical control panel housing several circuit breakers for lights, power outlets, range, aircon, motors, etc...Find a tripped off breaker and reset it. To reset the circuit breaker is to switch it to off position and back to on position. Better still you may reset all the circuit breakers except the main
circuit breaker (biggest amp rating).
After resetting the circuit breakers, try to switch your
bathtub pump on, (to test it, if it is still okey). Other-
wise, your motor is damaged and you got to have the
motor rewinded, to be operational.

Jacuzzi outdoor bath tub i have there is power but the bubbles thing isnt working

Find the plug for the pump and plug it in ( tub full of water), if the pump works, the problem is in the contol box or switch. if the pump/motor has a plastic tube coming out of a black box, and the pump still does not work when plugged in, it is most likely the air switch connected to that plastic tube on the pump. the switch is avaliable online and not to hard to replace if you are mechanically inclined.

The jets don't work..I don't hear the motor at all. Do I need to get a new motor? I have a Royal bathtub. The motor is next to the tub under the sink w/ a cover.

It could be the motor, but don't rule out the switch. If there is a small plastic tube that exits the back of the pump/motor, there is a switch attached to this tube. The switch is avaliable online and can be installed after removing the pump from under the tub so that there is room to work on it. To check the pump, remove the switch and tape the two wires together, quickly plug the pump in and them unplug it to see if the pump comes on. Do not run the pump for more than a second or two as pump seal damage may result.

Bathtub jets don't work

The first step is to determine if the pump is working or not. Is there an external switch on the wall next to the tub? Can you hear the pump humming underneath? CHeck your fuse box to see if a breaker has been tripped.

I know those sound easy, but its always best to check the simple things first.

If you don't hear the pump running and its not the breaker, it has now become a bit more difficult project but still something any competent home owner can fix.

YOu have to access the electrical plug on the tub. It is 110v outlet that is underneath the tub on the same end as the switch or opposite the drain.

You needs to access the tub through the wall from the other side and check out that electrical connection. Could just be the the GFI switch thrown. If not then it cold be a bad pump or broken impeller.

For help if that's the case just post again as it is a length process.

Jacuzzi nova 532 motor run's but won't stay running

If it has the little oval off/on button, it sounds like the control box or off/on button is bad. If you have access to the pump assembly, follow the pump power cord to the little black box (zip tied to a tube up high), this black box has a small cable that goes to the off/on button. unplug the pump from the box and plug the pump into the power outlet. it should run continuously. If it runs, you need a new control box or /offon button. Buy the off/on button first, as this button is prone to water getting into it, and costs less than the control box.
