Oven SMEG SUK61PX8 Fan motor working but the fan slipped of motor rod. There are no signs of break there is no thread on rod. The only thing I have is the fan blade on which there is the nut and a hole through which the rod goes. I pushed the blade on rod and seems to work. My question is. Do the fan blade push fit or is it broken and I can't even see it. Thanks again

Replace the fan motor, the rod is one unit with the motor, half moon shaped and threaded at the end, normally left hand thread

SOURCE: unable to remove the fan blade on the neff u1721 oven (too tight)

The nut is a left hand thread, so unscrew it clockwise to release it, hold fan blade as you are doing this. Tighten anti- clockwise.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Smeg oven stopped working

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
  2. If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

I have a Smeg SUK80MFX oven. When the oven is on the fan is very noisy. How difficult is it to replace the fan motor ?

Not too difficult, but you will need to remove the back of the oven from behind to get to change the fan.

Then its a case of disconnecting the wires, unbolting the fan, fitting the new one and reconnecting.

Remember to turn off the power bfore starting work.

My smeg oven has a terrible noise in the fan on right hand side. My husband thinks the bearing has gone. As it stops quicker than the other fan.

It is going to be a worn bearing, or a loose or broken fan blade.
It more than likely means that you are going to have to replace the fan motor complete
One thing you can try is to spray the motor bearings with WD40, this may help to quiten it down
Hope this helps.

Changing Smeg SA280X/1 fan motor, shaft nut stuck?

Most fan blades are held on by a single nut, which is usualy a left hand thread, so to unscrew it you turn it clockwise as though you are tightening it up.and to tighten it,anticlockwise..
If the spindle turns, then you will have to hold it with a pair of grips or similar.
Plz rate my solution.
Thabks.
