I have a Q-be 512Mb. I am doing audio-books.First it worked fine. Then, somefiles suddenly sounded distorded. You can hear a human voive, but is not recognizable anymore. It helped sometimes to start again. But now, all files are disorded. When I play the files on the computer, everything is fine. Maybe install thefirmware, but I cannot find it. Comments? If you have been using your computer with the audio on full you will probably have blown the speaker cones. An easy fix. Add some external speakers.

Hi, when you make a call and people can hear you,it means that the ear speaker is bad.
You will need to replace it for other tobe able to hear you when you call.

Is the following true?

"Video 1" video output goes to the TV and works ok. Though it is irrelevant since you don't have a video problem. That you mention it at all is distracting. Do you feel it is important?

Tower speakers are the main or only speakers. Do they work ok for other sources?

So, to be clearer, you have a problem with a particular sound source (the game console) being less loud than usual. Is it unusable or drastically different in level than other sound sources?

Where and how is the game console connected for audio? Can you move it to another input?

Have you considered that the game console or its settings may be the reason volume is lower than usual?

First try hooking up a different source such as a DVD player or Cable box and see if you have audio. If you do then check the audio output from the computer. If you do not have audio then make sure the tv audio is up half way and turn off the set. When you do this you should hear the down chime provided you have the chime turned "on". If you do not hear the down or up chime then the sudio circuits on the Main bd are bad and the Main bd will have to be replaced. A quick way to check to see if the audio circuits are working is to listen for the up or down chime when turning on of off the set coming from the tv speakers speakers.

You have the mute function turned on. See the book that came with it.

Have you even installed the sound drive yet?

I have a CH-DVD 300--not sure how different it is from the 200, but I have the same problem. Putting in an audio CD seems to do the trick, and is less hassle than unplugging (which also works for me).
