SOURCE: High pressure hose connection blew up. Fix? or buy new?

Yes take it to napa auto parts and they can cut and attach a new end which are for hydraulics. They are crimped on and meant to hold very very high pressure. I used to use a pressure washer everyday for a living and it was a tractor rental/repair shop and we used the hydraulic fitting machine on the power washer hose all the time so rest assured.

SOURCE: Cant change the high pressure hose on a Karcher

On the Kärcher, you have a bayonet mount at the base of the tip end of the pistol grip. This is where you attach different types of nozzles and gadgets after having removed the existing sprayer tube. Just push in and turn a quarter of a turn, then you pull it off the pistol grip. The hose is possible to remove from the machine as well, an ordinary threaded mount but since you need the pistol grip to regulate on/off this is probably not what you want to do. If the telescopic wand is made by Kärcher it should be very easy to snap it into place just like when you removed the sprayer tube/nozzle. If the attachment was made to fit Alto washers there is an inexpensive adapter that works very well. Good luck!

Hookup

For the Campbell Hausfeld 1800 PSI model (PW182500AV), the garden hose connects to the pump inlet on the lower back of the pressure washer. The high pressure hose connects to the high pressure outlet on the lower front of the pressure washer. Here is the operator's manual that will show both connections. http://www.mowersatjacks.com/images/campbell-hausfeld/manuals/pw1825.pdf

I have a 1992 Crysler Imperial. The ABS light is on and the ABS pump runs all the time. Help.

Either the ABS Module is bad or the Pump is bad--- Pump REMOVAL & INSTALLATION 1989-90 Models
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Depressurize the hydraulic accumulator. CAUTION
Failure to depressurize the hydraulic accumulator, prior to performing this operation may result in personal injury and/or damage to the painted surfaces.
  2. Remove the fresh air intake ducts.
  3. Disconnect all electrical connectors to the pump motor.
  4. Disconnect the high and low pressure hoses from the hydraulic assembly. Cap the spigot on the reservoir.
  5. Disconnect the shift selection cable bracket from the transaxle and move it aside.
  6. Loosen the nuts on the 2 studs that position the pump/motor to the transaxle differential cover.
  7. Remove the retainer bolts that are used to mount hose bracket and pump/motor. The engine inlet water extension pipe is also held in position by these bolts. NOTE: Do not disturb the inlet water extension pipe, or engine coolant will leak out.
  8. Disconnect the wiring harness retaining clip from the hose bracket.
  9. Lift the pump/motor assembly off of the studs and out of the vehicle.
  10. Remove the heat shield from the pump/motor, if equipped and discard. To install:
  11. Place a new heat shield onto the pump/motor bracket, using fasteners provided.
  12. Install the pump/motor assembly onto the studs.
  13. Install the wiring harness retaining clip onto the hose bracket.
  14. Install the retainer bolts to the hose bracket and pump/motor. Tighten securely.
  15. Tighten the 2 nuts until secure.
  16. Install the shift selection cable bracket onto the transaxle.
  17. Connect the high and low pressure hoses to the hydraulic assembly and tighten to 13 ft. lbs. (17 Nm).
  18. Attach all electrical connectors to the pump/motor.
  19. Install the air ducts.
  20. Readjust the gearshift linkage, if it was disturbed.
  21. Connect the negative battery cable and check the assembly for proper operation.
1991-95 Models
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. CAUTION
Failure to depressurize the hydraulic accumulator, prior to performing this operation may result in personal injury and/or damage to the painted surfaces.
  2. Depressurize the brake system.
  3. Remove the fresh air intake ducts from the engine.
  4. Remove the clip holding the high pressure line to the battery tray.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors running across the engine compartment in the vicinity of the pump/motor high and low pressure hoses. One of these connectors is the one for the pump/motor assembly.
  6. Disconnect the high and low pressure hoses from the hydraulic assembly. Cap or plug the reservoir fitting.
  7. Disconnect the pump/motor electrical connector from the engine mount.
  8. Remove the heat shield bolt from the front of the pump bracket. Remove the heat shield.
  9. Lift the pump/motor assembly from the bracket and out of the vehicle. Fig. 1: The pump/motor assembly mounts to the top of the transaxle case and is covered by a heat shield 86729g75.gif

  10. Fit the pump motor assembly onto the bracket; install the heat shield and its retaining bolt.
  11. Install the pump/motor electrical connector to the engine mount.
  12. Connect the high and low pressure hose to the hydraulic assembly. Tighten the high pressure line to 145 inch lbs. (16 Nm). Tighten the hose clamp on the low pressure hose to 10 inch lbs. (1 Nm).
  13. Connect the electrical connectors which were removed for access.
  14. Install the high pressure line retaining clip to the battery tray if it was removed.

Does not give a continous high pressure flow cuts in and out

that is sure signal of insufficient water supply!

try easy solution first:
make sure that your mains is fully open, that tap on whihc hose is hook up is fully open and hose is of "decent" diameter to allow sufficient flow.

if above solution do not work then you need to make another, more difficult arrangement:
prepare 20litres pressure tank with inlet connected to mains and outlet by short hose to power washer, fill it with water from mains, keep it under mains pressure and use karcher power washer normaly. this will solve water supply problem. twenty litres will last about 2min, because it is re-filled, under standard pressure therefore it will last about 3min...

third possibility is to stop washing...

if you find my advice helpfull, please do not hesitate to left the comment and vote for me, thanx!

Thw washer fills with water when off

The inlet valve is faulty and you have to replace it. It is located on the right side of the machine viewed from the rear where the fill hoses are attached to.Turn-off the water supply, unplug the machine and do the following:

  1. Remove the three screws holding the top panel in place.
  2. Disconnect the hoses and electrical connections to the water inlet valve.
  3. Remove the mounting screws holding the water inlet valve.
  4. Reinstall the replacement valve.
  5. Reinstall the hoses and the electrical connections.
Replacement valve part number for Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P front load washer is 906483.

Karcher Power Washer that surges up and down with water pressure.

Before you start it up:
1. Disconnect the high pressure hose 2. Connect the water supply and turn on 3. Make sure water is flowing through the pump
Start the motor, run for about 10 seconds and then turn off.
Turn off the water supply, connect the high pressure hose, turn water back on, start the motor and away you go.

Worked well, then blew the fuse.

What you should do next is stop using an extension lead. As you've already discovered, there's a risk of the connection getting wet, which is potentially very dangerous, but this is probably not the main problem. Most extension leads (the normal domestic type) are simply not capable of carrying the current needed to run your pressure washer.
Rather than using an electrical extension, use an extension high-pressure hose and work further away from the machine (which also makes it easier to keep the machine dry).
If this doesn't sort the problem, please post here again and we'll try something else.  Good luck!
