Where is fuse on frigidaire aeq7000ego

Had power surge/outage, now Frigidaire AEQ7000EGO electric dryer will not turn on. Has no power, no lights; as if unit is not plugged into outlet, but it is plugged in. Is there a reset button, or fuse that needs to be checked/changed? Or should we check another part?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you had a power surge at your home, and now your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model#, AEQ7000EGO, has no power. I do see that you have checked to make sure that it is plugged in. I suggest checking the circuit breaker or fuse that the dryer is on. Make sure that the fuse is not blown or the breaker tripped. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

SOURCE: My Frigidaire Affinity AEQ7000EGO dryer

Could be one of 4 problems:

  1. Worn or loose drum drive belt (Looks like a large fan belt) (New belt cost $12)
  2. The rear bearing(s) is bad and needs replacing (part cost $18)
  3. The front bearing guide(Sleeve) is worn (Part cost 2@$18.00
  4. Possible that the fan is loose from the motor and hitting housing.
All of the above are easy do at home repairs if you re handy. You should be able to get a good idea of what is wrong just by turning the dryer drum by hand. If the problem is the front bearing or guides, you will hear a grinding noise in the front at the top of the door.

How to replace the start button on a frigidaire affinity dryer aeq7000ego?

There will be screws along back at the top holding the top panel. Using the appropriate screw head screw driver you will have to get these screws out, lift the top panel slightly and push out towards the front. This should disengage the panel from the notch on the main body and come out. That will get you access to the console.

What's your problem?CHANGE REAR BEARING frigidaire dryer model # aeq7000ego

How do you know you need a rear bearing? You need to remove the front of the dryer, then loosen the belt from the tensioner near the motor pully (draw yourself a picture so you can put it back on the same way), take out the drum. The carrier is on the rear wall and the ball that holds the drum up is on the back of the drum

WHAT DOES E68 MEAN ON MY DRYER MODEL# AEQ7000EGO

You have a key stuck closed on the key pad. Remove the top 2 panel screws on the rear with a phillips screw driver and slide the top back to remove and look for the tech sheets they will tell you how to enter the function mode and test the key pad.
