got to settings, and under display and brightness settings make sure it is at either full brightness or a level where your screen is not as dark.

If it is very dark so that you cannot see, you may need to do the operation in a dark room or at night under your bed.

Doesn't it show the cause of the alarm on screen? It might be the low voltage alarm which on some units can't be turned off, but can be adjusted to a lower voltage if it's alerting unnecessarily.

Hummingbird will refurbish that one for around 150US dollars, better then 500+ for a new one. If the screen is subjected to direct sunlight and heats up it can go out. This is why they discontinued the 67 model and replaced it with the 767.
