Seiko has really downgraded its legacy product support and it has minimized its application and driver software available for download. To find software for your SLP 200 you'll have to good to a third party site like Drivers Guide. The link below is for version 7.0.3
Seiko SLP 420 Free Driver Download

Important tips when finding and downloading application/ driver software from non-OEM sites

1. Never install any application from a non-OEM site that says it will scan your computer to determine what files you need. - search using the manufacturer name, model number, and current operating system on the computer you want to install the device on.

2. Only install the files you found. Never download any software suggested.

3. When installing the downloaded files, always select Custom Installation to make sure you only install the software you need. In this case only the application and driver files, nothing else ( no driver updating, security scanning, toolbar, etc. programs).

In the specific case of the Seiko Smart Label printer make sure your printer is not hooked up until the Seiko software tells you to.

Need to instal slp 100 application to windows 8

I think you're out of luck. Seiko has really downgraded its legacy product support and it has minimized its application and driver software available for download. You can try using a Windows 7 package. To find software for your SLP 100 you'll have to go to a third party site like Drivers Guide. The link below is for version 7.0.3 while it says its for the SLP 420 it's actually compatible with several models

The official Seiko site is:

However, Seiko has deleted its legacy printer support so you will have to find your drivers on a third party site. I've included links to your drivers below:

Every time I want to save a label I get "not valid slp label library." I have a Smart Label 200, use SL software version 7.0.0.412, on a Win 7 Home Premier, Dell 8800 SPS machine.

Hi,

First of all I want to know this problem is occurred first time? If

yes then uninstall the software and restart your machine. Then install

again. Hope so your problem will be solved. Otherwise you should

download Smart Label v7.0.3.418 and try to install the new one.

Thanks.

Recommended product key

It is my pleasure to guide you.

After doing some research I found what may be what you need. This comes from http://social.microsoft.com/Forums

Darin Smith MS, Microsoft Contingent Staff, Owner

Computers, which are built by large manufactures that come with Windows Pre-Installed, come with two (2) Product Keys:

A) OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes from the Factory. This key is geared to work with the OEM Bios Flag found only on that Manufacturer's computer hardware. So when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP key (at the factory) Windows looks at the motherboard and sees the proper OEM Bios Flag (for that Manufacturer and that version of Windows) and Self-Activates. (that's why you did not need to Activate your computer after you brought it home)

B) COA SLP: This is the Product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or bottom) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but should only be used in limited situations (such as if the OEM SLP key stops self-activating for whatever reason). The key must be activated by Phone. (Note: All manufacturers that use the OEM SLP system are required by contract to include a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) sticker, that has a COA SLP key, on the computer)

Your Windows is using an OEM SLP key, but (for whatever reason) cannot see the special instructions in the computer's motherboard and is unable to Self-Activate.

To fix the issue, you will need to change out the OEM SLP key with the COA SLP key. The normal way to do this is to click the 'Start' button, right-click 'Computer', select 'Properties' and then click 'Change Product Key' (located in the lower right-hand side of the window). Enter the COA SLP key and follow the instructions in the Change Product Key Wizard.
Alternate steps to change the product key
1) Click the Start button
2) Type: slui.exe 3 and hit the Enter key
3) Type in the Product key from the sticker on your computer
4) Click the Next button.
5) You will be asked if want to Activate, click ok
It will attempt to Activate by the internet and will return an Invalid Key error (this is ok, continue to step 66)
6) Click the Start button
7) Type: slui.exe 4 and hit the Enter key
8) Select your location in the drop down menu and click the Next button
9) The next screen provides the number to call to Activate by Phone
NOTE: when you call that number, you will first hear an Automated Voice. If the Automated Voice gives you an option to talk to a Live Activation Rep., select that option. If not, do not enter any numbers. This should force the Automated Voice to transfer you to a Live Activation Rep. Trying to Activate thru the Automated Voice will not work, in your case; only thru the Live Activation Rep. will your Activation be successful.

How do i use an epson filmscan 200 with a laptop running windows 7

were you using it under windows xp? if you have 32 bit windows 7 I would try those same drivers. Unfortunately the filmscan 200 came out under windows 95/98 and so Epson never released XP drivers and some people were able to make it work.
I would consider connecting it to an older computer running windows 98 and then transfer the files as you scan them (this would definitely be the least painful)
If you have 64 bit windows 7 I would not even waste the effort, 32 bit is a long shot maybe.
Do you have scsi drivers on the the windows 7? because the filmscan 200 is a scsi 2 device
Good luck
