After opening scanned documents, printer will not respond
Canon printer not responding
Mostly, your printer does not respond due to Network Discovery issues. It is a network setting that enables your computer to see other devices connected with it.
Test your printer on an ordinary document. If it prints OK it's not your printer or document.

I had the same problem. You need to change the printer port setting to from COM1 to USB. Go to the "Control Panel" of the start menu. Select "Printers and Other Hardware", then pick "Printers and Faxes". Right click on your printer icon "Canon MP210 series Printer" and select "Propeties" at the bottom of the menu. You will see the tabs, "General","Sharing", "Ports", etc. Click on the "Ports" tab. Scroll down until you get the "USB Virtual printer port" with "Canon MP210 series Printer" name next to it. Click on that check box and you should be good to go.

Press the OK button to
exit the error, and do
the print head

printing of the print
head alignment sheet),
while confirming the
following:
- Set A4 or LTR size
plain paper.
- Confirm that the print
head alignment sheet
is printed properly
(no smear or nonejection
of ink).
- Fill in all the
applicable boxes in
the printed sheet.
- Place the sheet on the
platen glass in the
correct position and
orientation.
