My wheel suddenly is VERY loose and I have no control over the speed.....HELP!!!!

I have no idea what happened, but the wheel on the right side is suddenly very loose, nice cause I don't have to feel like a body builder to move the needle! but I don't have control of the speed. I was getting SO GOOD at it, and then this. Is there anything I can look at or do before I spend a couple hundred and hauling it to get serviced?

SOURCE: The needle broke with a large noise, and went into

It sounds like the needle did some damage in there. Hopefully, it only shifted something around, but if you can't find a loose part that needs to be tightened back into place, look for a rough edge or surface somewhere. This may require a trip to a repair person.

My up and down needle handle stopped turning all of a sudden. Why?

Without the make & model, we are really limited in providing an answer.

If it is an older mechanical machine, it may be seized due to lack of frequent cleaning and oiling.

9960 will not sew at regular speed only snail speed.

Older, mechanical machine??? Is the motor laboring to run the machine? How long since it's been serviced? Could be the old oil has turned to glue and locking the moving parts. If this may be the case, avoid using it until it gets resolved.

Sewing machine not running fast enough

If it's an older mechanical machine, it may be seizing due to old oil that has dried and preventing the parts from moving efficiently. If this is the case, refrain from further use until it has been addressed or the motor could be damaged.

Some machines have a dual speed setting. Check that your machine has not been set to half speed. Older mechanical machines may have a speed control on the foot control. Look on the underside for a "+" & "-" that will regulate the speed.

We have a singer Mon Ami deluxe the motor is spinning but the needle is not moving.. need help

If it is a mechanical machine (not computerized), it could very well need a good cleaning and oiling. Could also be a belt that is loose or broken.

All of a sudden my Singer Inspiration 4206 stopped working. When I press the foot peddle it only makes a swinging sound like when you're only swing a motorcycle but not driving it. If I turn the hand weel...

If the swinging sound is from the motor, right side just below your hand wheel, possibility your motor belting is loose or broken. If you don't have mechanical skill / experience, suggest to get your local technician to fix it.
