Washer began vibrating across floor while spinning and was found with door open. How do I get the door to close?

Seems your washer is not level with the floor . Use a leveller to check if your washer is at level to the groud . Try moving ur washer to level ground or by adding some stuff like card board etv to level the washer . If issue still persists even if its already levelled there may b an imbalace in your spinning wheel inside the washer which causes a load imbalance so see a repairman

My front load washer keeps going off balance. Even with small loads. I have leveled the washer but I'm not sure what else to try.

Hello,

Top loading washing machines can emit loud noises and vibrations if they are not properly balanced. Imbalanced machines are the result of large loads of clothing that rock the machine causing one or more of the feet to rise off of the floor. Front loading washing machines do not have this problem because there is no side-to-side motion. Kenmore top loading washing machines have self-leveling feet on the rear of the machine and adjustable feet on the front of the machine.

Material needed to carry out the function.

  • Level,Another person,Wooden block or brick,14 mm wrench
  1. Unplug the washing machine's power cord from the electrical socket. Pull the washer away from the wall, or out of the laundry closet, so that it is easily accessible.
  2. Grasp the top back of the washer on both sides and tilt it forward until the back feet are off of the ground by 4 inches. Lower the washer gently back to the ground. This maneuver, adjusts the self-leveling rear washer feet so that they are fully extended. You may need the assistance of another person to do this.
  3. Place a level on top of the washer near the front edge. Look for the air bubble in the level to determine which side of the washer is out of balance. The side that the bubble leans toward is the side the needs to be raised.
  4. Move the level so that it is positioned along the side edge of the washer and check to see if it is level from front to back. If it is level, move it to the other side of the washer and see if it is level.
  5. Lift up on the front of the washer and insert a wooden block or brick under the front bottom edge.
  6. Crouch down on the floor near the front foot that needs to be raised. Use your fingers to twist the threaded foot clockwise to retract the foot and counterclockwise to extend the foot further. If necessary, adjust the other front foot as well using the same method.
  7. Lift up on the top of the washer and slide the block out from under it. Place the level on top of the washer to check that it is level. If the washer is not level, replace the block and continue adjusting the feet until the air bubble is centered in the level.
  8. Crouch down on the floor near the front of the washer and use a 14 mm wrench to twist the metal nut on each front foot counterclockwise. Twist each nut until each is tight against the washer and will no longer move.
  9. Plug the washer's electrical cord back into the wall.
Hope this help?.

I have overloaded the washing machine and now it is off balance and i need to know how to fix it

Kenmore top loaders are equipped with an auto-leveling system on the back two feet of the washer. Typically, what happens when the washer becomes off-balance it's a simple matter of the auto-leveler needing to be readjusted. This is a very simple process that requires no special tools. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3868923-level_whirlpool_top_loading_washer

The rear auto-leveler should be periodically checked from time to time to ensure the washer maintains level. Any excessive vibration may cause the rear of the washer to become mal-adjusted. This is normal. Once the rear feet are properly leveled, make sure the front feet are adjusted so that the washer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Use a level across the top of the washer cabinet (NOT the lid! The lid on most washers is slightly bowed.) to check.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

When sprining the mechine have so noisy

Usually over a period of use the washer tends to get out of balance, and then make more noise when it get to the spin cycle. I would suggest leveling the washer and then trying it out. The best way to fix this issue is by getting yourself a water level, u can get it in any hardware store. I personally would recommend a small circular water level for this job. Place the water level on top of the washer; make sure it is in the center. Take a look at the level and see where the bubble is in the water level? Accordingly you have to lower or raise either 4 corners of the washer to bring the bubble in the water level to the center. Now you have to be very gentle and small increments when rising or lower the corners of the washer, it does not take too much to move the bubble in the center.

If the problem continues then you have to open the top cover and check inside. 9 out of 10 the washer needs to be leveled.

Every time my machine starts to spin faster it starts making a very loud banging noise

One cause could be that the washer is not levelled evenly on all sides. You can get yourself a water level" u get all shapes & sizes" preferably a small circular one place it on top of the washer make sure it is centred, then level or balance the washer. Most washers have a screw type stands where you can raise or lower it functions just like a screw.

Before you start with the legs, when water level placed on the washer, look to see where the bubble is? If it is in the centre then your washer is levelled, indicating that something is loose in the washer, but 9 out of 10 the washer is not levelled.

Washer shakes

That's going to happen no matter what you do especially when the washer goes the spin cycle to spin off the water. If it is shaking too violently I recommend making sure the washer is level as some washers need to be on a level surface. If it is not level use boards or get shims from your local hardware store or home depot to level it off.

How do I level my machine with an accessory drawer underneath?

Do not try to level the washer. Level the feet on the pedestal AFTER the washer is installed. Just make sure the legs of the washer are all set the same on the pedestal and tightened down. Then, adjust the pedestal feet so the washer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Once you level the unit, place your hands at opposite diagnoal corners on the top of the washer (one hand on a rear corner, the other hand on the front corner). If the washer has a firm foundation and you have the leveled the feet correctly, it should not move when you apply any pressure at these opposite corners. If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Leveling a washer tub how to do so

first get a level. second, some have self leveling rear legs, just lean the machine forward and set down slowly. the rear legs are now level. if you dont have self leveling rear legs, the legs screw in, so just screw them in or out as well as the front legs untl it appears level by eye. now place the level on the washer. check it front to back and side to side. try rocking the machine to see if there is any movement. if there is adjust the legso it stops rocking, all the while keeping an eye on the level

Friadaire washer on a pedestal

Check the levelness of the washer by placing a level in the crease between the top of the washer and the cabinet, first on the front and then on the side. If the washer is not level, adjust the relevant feet up or down as necessery by twisting the feet. Repeat the process until washer is level. Tight the locknuts tight against the washer cabinet to prevent washer's vibration. Good luck!
