SOURCE: where to plug the f_panel power cable

No I do not.

ECS Support does though,

http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=830&CategoryID=1&MenuID=16&LanID=0

Click on the Download tab.
(Features / Specification / Download / FAQ / CPU / Memory )

Click on Manual
(Driver / BIOS / Manual )

Scroll to the bottom, click ON the country name nearest yours.

This is a PDF file. The computer you are using now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.
After you click on the file name it may take up to 30 seconds, before the first page comes up.

Go to the Bottom/Middle of the page with your mouse cursor. The ghosted out navigation guide will appear.
Go to the far right, and click on the Adobe PDF icon.
(When you hover your mouse cursor over it -
Show Adobe Reader toolbar - will briefly appear)

The Zoom In icon ( + ) increases the view size, if you click on it.
The Zoom Out icon ( - ) decreases the view size.

The PDF file page number box is to the right of the Down Arrow.
The PDF file page numbers, and the motherboard manual page numbers, do Not match.
When I refer to a page it is the PDF file page.

If you know the page number you want, you can go page by page, using the Down Arrow to arrive at it,
Or;
1) Put your mouse cursor in the PDF file page number box,
left-click once. (Anything in the box is now highlighted in blue)

2) Type the page number
3) Press the Enter key.

Go to Page 10. Motherboard Components.
Motherboard installed in your computer;
Processor to the Top, Ram Memory slots to the Right, and white PCI slots to the Bottom;

The Front Panel header is at the Bottom/Right corner. (8)
Go to Page 33. Front Panel header pinout.

The Front Panel header lies horizontal, and parallel to the bottom edge of the motherboard.

It is two rows of contact pins.
The TOP row is numbered EVEN.
The Bottom row is numbered ODD.

Starting from the LEFT side going towards the Right, for the Top row:
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8. There is NO pin 10.

Starting from the LEFT side going towards the Right, for the Bottom row;
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED light.
Pin 1 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the HDD LED is dim when the harddrive is active, switch the two wires around.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch, IF a Reset switch is used.

C) Pin 9 is N/C. Not Connected. It was for factory use.

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light.
Pin 2 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the Power On LED is dim when the computer is on, switch the wires around.

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

What type of video card can I use on this motherboard? D945GZIS AGP? PCI? PCI EXPRESS?

Your MoBo has (1) of each PCI Express x1 & and PCI Express x16 slots, and (2) standard PCI slots. There are NO AGP bus slots on this board. You'd want to use buy a PCI Express x16 video card instead of a PCI video card due to the better performance offered by the PCI Express cards.

The full details of your motherboard are below:

Product Description The Intel Desktop Board D946GZIS delivers an integrated graphics solution in the Essential Series by combining exceptional value with quality and reliability and supports Intel Core2 Duo, Intel Pentium D, Intel Pentium 4, and Intel Celeron D processors with 1066/800/533 MHz system bus in the LGA775 package. This board features a PCI Express x16 connector, integrated 10/100 LAN, dual-channel DDR2 memory, Intel High Definition Audio (Intel HD Audio) and up to eight USB 2.0 ports.

Trying to find interal connectors 2-1 pin audio spdif on a emachine 1831-05. motherboard is mcp73vt-pm

It has been stated from my sources, that the ECS GF7050VT-M5 mobo, is the same as the ECS MCP73VT-PM, with a slight difference.

The difference being that the MCP73VT-PM mobo is based on the Micro-ATX form factor, and the GF7050VT-M5 is based on the ATX form factor.

[ Micro-ATX form factor size is 9.6 inches by 9.6 inches. 9.6 inches is approximately 9 and 9/16ths inches. It's also 244mm by 244mm.
ATX form factor is 12 inches by 9.6 inches. 305mm by 244mm ]

ECS MCP73VT-PM,

ECS GF7050VT-M5,

To the right of the subheading - Download, left-click on the server location nearest you.
[Taiwan, USA, Europe, China ]

This is a PDF file download. (Motherboard Manual) May take a few seconds before you see the first page, and additional time for the file to fully download.
Suggest you let the file download all the way, before looking through it.

I'm also looking at an ECS MCP73VT-PM on Ebay, as well as the PDF motherboard manual for the ECS GF7050VT-M5.

Motherboard oriented so that the Processor is to the top, ram memory slots to the right, and the orange PCI Express x16 slot to the bottom, the SP/DIF header on the GF7050VT-M5 is located to the left of the PCI Express slot.

From the poor view on the Ebay link, the MCP73VT-PM also seems to have the SP/DIF header in the same location, but clocked differently.

The header is clocked perpendicular to the orange PCI Express x16 slot, while on the GF7050VT-M5 the SP/DIF header is parallel to the PCI Express x16 slot.

The header is 4 pins long, with 1 pin not installed.
Pin 1 is marked on the motherboard.

Pin 1 is SP/DIF Digital Output
Pin 2 is +5VA ( 5 Volt analog power)
Pin 4 is Ground

There is no Pin 3.
