Our machines is De'Longhi Icona ECO310.R Pump Espresso Machine, and we have the steam pipe working before. Now we turn the machine on and follow the instructions and try to use the machine and the pipe remains cold, the top of the machine becomes red hot and unable to touch and we turn it for safety. There is water leaking out from the bottom. It seems like there is loss part from the release valve to the pipe that steams the milk.
To me the pipe is blocked there is a tool to use to clean this pipe out, hard deposits in the water can block the steam pipe and the tool is a thin bendy wire that you put up the pipe to clean the pipe line out. i would think they sell this pipe in most out lets for coffee makers. check for coffee steam pipe cleaner.

Hi Sammy,
I think you have to replace the steam valve and the gasket in it.

SOURCE: can't get milk to foam
Place 1/3 part distilled white vinegar and 2/3 part water into the water reservoir. Turn the machine on and wait for the heat light to go off. Once the heat light goes off, turn the steam vs. water knob to the water drop icon, and turn the main function knob to steam/water. Make sure to have your frothing cup underneath the steam element ready to catch the water. The vinegar/water solution should clear out the calcium that clogs the steam element. Also, remove the cover to the steam element and dip it in a bowl with vinegar for about 5 minutes, and use something like a pipe cleaner to clean out that cover. Then apply vinegar and hot water to a rag and clean the calcium off the shaft of the steam element. Once you are all finished with this, run plain water through the espresso maker on the steam/water setting to clear out the bitter vinegar residue. Now, try again to make espresso and froth it.
Since milk contains calcium, the steam element has to be decalcified more often than a regular coffee maker. The EM-100 is a beautiful machine, but it is definitely high-maintenance - you will probably spend more time cleaning it than making cappuccino, etc.
Good luck!

Hi there,
It seems to me that your pressure stat which is inside the base of your machine needs replacing. I would try to give it a good descale and if this doesn't do the trick then a new pressure stat is what you need. Prob around £20 if you buy it and do it yourself. www.theespressoshop.co.uk and just click on the little la pavoni machine for full parts list.
All the best

SOURCE: Unable to prime Sirena Espresso Machine
n regards of the no prime issue. this is the only way i could prime this new puppy.make sure its stone cold which is a no brainer since it will not heat h2o unless its primed. first take off steamer plastic tip ,turn on steamer clock wise till pump starts. then **** the tip of the end of the metal tip hard until pump stops may need to do it a couple of times. yes this seems out of this world but it works. you are flushing out the vapor lock in the pump. bravo enjoy!
