HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500 GOES OFFLINE

I HAVE THE HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500, AND IT KEEPS GOING OFFLINE. I HAVE TO TURN IT OFF AND ON EACH MORNING TO RESET IT. AND THEN OTHER TIMES, IT JUST GOES OFFLINE. I ALREADY CHECKED THE USB PORT TO BE SURE THE POWER SAVER WAS NOT TURNED ON.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO GET A NEW DRIVER BECAUSE IT WAS A PAIN GETTING THIS SET UP AS IT WAS BECAUSE I HAVE VISTA.
