Also, could be a dead short or short to ground causing the breaker to trip or it could be a high resistance short.
Look at the Amps required to run the machine. Most household circuits are 15-20 amp and most household outlets are 25 amp.

There can be two possible reasons for this to occur. The first would be that the pitching machine might need more power than that which is available at home, or the machine might be working for a long time and may have got heated up.
