Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that the oven door is locked and you are unable to turn the burners on for your Frigidaire range, model# FEF365AS. It sounds like your range could possibly be in a "Lockout" mode. Please try pressing and holding down the "Clear/Off" button for 3-5 seconds. This should unlock your oven as well as allow you to use your cooktop area. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

SOURCE: frigidaire oven door locked

SOME RANGES ARE DESIGNED TO LOCK IF THE CONTROL SENSES A TEMPERATURE EXTREME. IF THERE IS A FAILURE OF THE SENSOR THAT MAKES THE CONTROL THINK THE TEMP IS UP, IT WILL LOCK THE DOOR TO PREVENT INJURY. REMOVE THE BACK PANEL AND FIND THE OVEN SENSOR LEADS COMING OUT THE BACK OF THE OVEN. DISCONNECT THE SENSOR AND CHECK THE RESISTANCE. AT ROOM TEMP IT SHOULD BE SOMEWHERE AROUND 1084 OHMS. IF IT IS NOT CLOSE,
THE SENSOR IS BAD. PLUG IN A NEW SENSOR AT THAT CONNECTOR AND THE DOOR SHOULD UNLOCK. THEN GET INSIDE THE OVEN, REMOVE THE OLD SENSOR, AND REPLACE IT WITH THE ONE PLUGGED IN.

SOURCE: Cooktop Locked Up!!

Got the same problem.
Here's a work around: Turn breaker off, second person needs to hold the CANCLE/LOCK button (keep holding it!)
Turn breaker back on and keep holding the button, lock feature may turn on, red lock light stays on, KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON. At the end you will get a F11 (shorted keypad) warning. It may take up to 20 seconds or more but in my case the red lock light goes off, the dashes disappear and everything is back to normal.
Now here are the bad news. This does not fix the problem (I think it's the EOC). Every time the power goes off the red lock light and dashes will come back. It also may require to people to fix this/work around... but, hey, it doesn't cost anything either...

SOURCE: Frigidaire---oven door locks.

On my Frigidaire electric range with flat screen front controls, when the "Clean" control was accidentally pushed and the door locked, I could not unlock the door by cutting power, by running the clean mode for 30 seconds then pushing "Clear", or by hitting any button. What opened the door was holding down the "Clear" button for 30 seconds until the range started beeping and code "F11" read on the led. This worked. Good luck with yours.

Scholtes FE46 and the door is locked. Also no clock/timer lights. Temp/function and oven work but is locked even though completely cold.

Here are a couple of things to try:
  1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
  2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.

F9 code after cleaning

F9 means
problem with the oven door lock circuit. If the door is locked, it's probably a bad switch that tells the oven it's locked. If the door isn't locked, probably a problem with the lock mechanism.
A common problem on many built-in ovens (you don't say if yours is built-in or free standing...) is air circulation in the control panel. The fan that keeps the panel cool either stops working or gets clogged with dirt/dust and can't move any air. This causes the panel to overheat and can cause all kinds of odd problems and error codes. If you have a built-in, check to make sure the fan is working and the mesh screen behind it is clean

H E L P !!! My oven made some noises this morning when my husband was wiping down the front of the oven door. Noise sounded like the "oven was going into clean mode"....but then only lasted...

Hello.

Please apply the solution this way!

To close an oven door when it's in the locked position and the door is open, press and hold the oven door light switch while following these simple steps:
  • Program the oven to self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Cancel self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
To self-clean your wall oven, follow these simple steps:
  • Remove the oven racks.
  • Set your oven control to "Clean."
  • Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium or heavy. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium setting.
  • Select "Start." (To set a delayed start, see your Use & Care Guide.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

Thanks for using fixya.

How to open oven door after self cleaning? oven

I was advised to disconnect power for at least 60 seconds to clear the control board. I did this several times with no luck getting the door unlocked. However, a few hours later, the door did finally unlock. Not sure what ultimately caused the door to unlock, but happy that I did not have to replace the control board
or
Try this to get the oven door open. Turn off the power, take a coat hanger and bent at 90 degree angle about 2 inches long. Turn the wire side ways along the top of the door, 2 inches to the right of center, turn your wire so the bent piece is down. Now pull out on the door and move the wire to the left. This should unlock your door so you can get to dinner. What may have happened is that the oven sensor has locked the door for safety. That does happen
