We have just changed the battery's one the leapster said that it was low, one we changed the batteries it would just show a white screen and you can still here the sound but nothing but a white screen appears, how do i fix this?
I'm really not sure at this point -- there aren't to many things you can do with a leapster to fix the display....how old is it? Wondering if Leapster will do anything for you if it's too old to exchange at a store. Typically screens turn white if they need to be refreshed OR if they have overheated or been left in a car or a hot place -- because the lcd gets messed up in extreme heat. Wished I could help you more then that...but calling leapster sounds like your only option right now..unless exchanging at the store is possible.

Change the batteries. Sometimes this seems like a simple and obvious step, but is often overlooked. The Leapster console runs off of four AA batteries.
Hold the power button on the Leapster console. If you still do not see a display on the screen with a fresh set of batteries, then you got one of the bad consoles. This was a bad batch of consoles that were sent out by Leapster.
Contact Leapster customer support. They should be able to replace your Leapster learning system free of charge. With all of your information ready, it should be quick and easy to get a replacement console.

Know i tried adjusting the screen and thats not it and we only use the battery pack that came with the system, no rechargers or anything.... it was fine earlier then i changed the batteries and it is just a white screen showing up so i tried a different set of batteries and the same thing it is just a white screen but you can hear everything that is going on just cant see anything HELP ME
Thanks for trying, anyways i just took out the game and blew in (where you put the game at) and oddly enough after i did the recalibration method it just started working again,thank you god because my four year old was about the drive me insane, i think he lives with it next to his side and i just got him a new game todat b.c he had to get his four year old shots, so i hopefully it want happen again but thank you for helping me this is a great site with great people.
I have a silly question -- is it possible you need to adjust the brightness level? I only ask because I know that happened to me. The other question I wondered -- do you have the kind of charger will you plug the entire thing in,because sometimes leapsters can overheat -- and that could cause a white screen.
