I have looked everywhere for the drivers for the msi ms 7255 ver 2.1 and I have no joy in finding them anywhere. That includes on the website of msi. The official website just wants me to download some driver updater!!!

Hello.
Your problem is not the drivers. The msi u100 webcam is supported by the operating system without the need for installing drivers for it.
Instead, turn it on by pressing and holding the Fn key (bottom left corner) and then pressing F6.

Press the F6 Button - this will install the webcam driver. Give it a few seconds untill the "Device Driver Installed Successfully" message comes up, and the camera should work
