SOURCE: I had a Dell Inspiron

Yes, that's correct, you must replace the RAM memory module; is very easy just get a small screwdriver and open the small compartment on the backof the laptop, there is no need to open the entire cap. Also you can test each module to find out which one is failing

SOURCE: inspiron m5010 won't power on

Remove main battery and try again, next! have the power adapter checked for correct voltage, if okay! sub the ram memory one at a time and test, if nothing! the DC jack in the computer is a common issue, the laptop must be dismantled down to the motherboard level to address, at this point I recommend a professional to assess.

Try link: http://blog.parts-people.com/2014/06/27/dell-inspiron-m501r-m5010-beep-codes-diagnostic-indicators-2/ How to identify beep codes: When a laptop or computer first powers on, it goes through an initial set of diagnostic tests to make sure vital components are preforming correctly. These tests are called POST or Power On Self Test. When a test fails, the user is notified via POST codes, Light codes, or Beep codes. For diagnosing Beep codes you need to:
  • Power on the laptop or restart it if it is already on.

Passwords can be reset... The method depends on the operating system. Does it have Windows 10? Windows 7? Sometimes some methods are easy... Sometimes not.. it might be easiest to download and burn a Windows operating system and reinstall from scratch.

My dell inspiron m5010 doesn't turn on I've tried

You don't turn off a machine when updating the BIOS for any reason.
the system boots from the BIOS, and if the BIOS is corrupt due to an incomplete update. it's going to be very tricky to get it back on. contact Delly on the issue. best of luck Ram

Dell Inspiron 15R 7 beeps of death

Your best bet is to contact DELL themselves. There may have been a silent recall for your product which you don't know about, and they might repair it at their cost, But with this kind of situation, always go to the manufacturer first.
