Yes, that's correct, you must replace the RAM memory module; is very easy just get a small screwdriver and open the small compartment on the backof the laptop, there is no need to open the entire cap. Also you can test each module to find out which one is failing

Remove main battery and try again, next! have the power adapter checked for correct voltage, if okay! sub the ram memory one at a time and test, if nothing! the DC jack in the computer is a common issue, the laptop must be dismantled down to the motherboard level to address, at this point I recommend a professional to assess.

1- a bad processor or 2- the motherboard is not able to communicate the processor.
