Wow intermittants are tough to find , the only way ive ever been sucessfull at it is to temp bypass each sensor (lie to controller) to see if it continues to run ,I do not recomend leaving any thing bypassed and not physicaly monitoring it ,
this temp bypassing is for only the most experienced techs that know normal state of sensors and can simultate them with off machine items

if you have an scr pack, that has 6 pins, there are two for ac, two for gates, and two for the excitation field.
The two gate wires come off your adc controller.

I have a Kohler 12 RES home standby generator. Once in a while when the power goes out the generator will start and then immediately shut down with no fault codes. When I flip the control in the unit

Check the inlet fuel pressure, on exervise there is no load, when power is out it is loaded and demands more fuel. Also check for bugs blocking gas regulators vents etc

Normally fault codes are letters? I am not familiar with that code at all. You may have got the control in some configuration setup code 3P0(X) is for raising and lowering the voltage where X is a number from 1-9 for increase

The 12RESL has no user setup. That's part of lower cost on the DC 2200 controller versus an ADC 2100 or ADC-RES controller that came with the 12 / 17 / 18 RES models. Here is a link for the ADC 2100 Operation / Installtion manual though. http://www.scribd.com/doc/60318571/Kohler-8-5-12RES-Install

You should have two wire remote Start/Stop. It may need to be shortened in order to start.

Could be the battery voltage. If your battery is not charging properly, the controller on the unit can do some funky things! Exactly how long does it run for? Is this in auto or manual mode?
