My new mp3 player the samsung yp-u4 says it is charging but shows no battery when disconnected from pc, also emodio does not load up automatically when the yp-u4 is plugged in

Download the latest driver software from the Samsung website with the link below and install it on your PC. Click on downloads > Software.
If that doesn't fix the problem, try connecting it to other USB ports as the one you tried could be faulty or some USB ports do not provide enough power for the device to get connected.

When your computer doesn't recognize your Samsung MP3 player, programs
such as Samsung Media Studio (SMS), Emodio, Windows Media Player
(10 or 11) do not allow you to transfer files to your player.
In SMS and Emodio, the portable icon appears grayed out.
In Windows Media Player, you are prompted to connect a device.
Your PC may fail to recognize your player for a variety of reasons.
To begin troubleshooting, scroll down, and then click the operating
system your computer is currently running.

General Operating System Information

On Windows computers, Samsung MP3 players require at least Windows XP
Service Pack 2. If you have an older operating system such as Windows
2000 or Windows 98, your computer won't recognize your player until you
upgrade your PC to at least Windows XP Service Pack 2.
If your PC is running Linux or MAC, it will not recognize some MP3
players that support only MTP mode. However, it will recognize players
that support UMS mode and list them as mass storage devices.
The following Samsung MP3 players support UMS: YP-U1, YP-U2, YP-U3,
YP-U4, YP-U5, and YP-S2.
The following Samsung MP3 players support both MTP and UMS mode: YP-Z5
and YP-P3.
Windows Vista may fail to detect you device if the player is not
connected properly, Windows Media Player is not installed or has become
corrupted, Vista is unable to install the MTP drivers, or the MTP patch
is not installed.

mp3 player (and I'm connected to the internet), it won't allow me to go any further

my pc don,t recognize the mp3 samsung player-yp-u2j

I have this same problem but i had format the memmory on my mp3 and when I start power on on it, i have screen only U4 www.EmoDio.com and nothing else. My Computer dosen't find it when is in my USB port.. I don't how to solve this problem. If anybody know how i can get into the memmory and copy there the system folder or update file to it make work ? This is my e-mail [email protected] Please let me know ;)

well first u have to fomate ur mp3 and then check the settings and then try again.if it doesnt help feel free to contact me again.

Try using Windows Explorer or similar utility.

the emodio software has a lot of glitches. you can go to mu computer and open player then select sub category then select music or what ever you want. drop and drag files. if video you must convert with emodio then drag from default convert location(C:\Users\Laptop 2\Video)

you have to perform all the windows updates, then you have to install "Windows media player 10" (I have installed "Windows media player 11" because on my pc the wmp10 didn't work...).  
it seems that YP-Q1 work with some driver hidden in wmp10 or 11...I didn't found them nowhere...
  
connect the mp3 with the cable usb and test to automatically install the drive... it should work... I did it after a few hours...
