I lost the remote to my Hitachi 43FWX20B but the screen is zoomed in, can I change the screen format without the remote?

yea take the set to a tech reprogram.or take out the plug and plug it in after 30 min.if the problem does not go.do as i say.good luck.

Must be a common pblm. Well it's solved!! we bit the bullet and had the main video board replaced for $400 and all is well.

Unfortunately, most of these projection TV's require a remote. You CAN purchase an aftermarket remote. I would look for one that has all the features you need, PIP, screen format etc.... I have found that the Sony RM-VL600 works real well with my Mitsubishi TV... kids thrashed the remotes more than once...
This particular unit has system control PROGRAMABLE buttons on the bottom row. I've been able to program them for formatting the screen, setting audio and video... Solved my issue of needing a factory remote... KEN

to adjust this television feature is to have remote control or open the unit then manualy adjust(but this can only be done by the expert). better to buy universal remote control..its easy to set amd adjust if you have that one..
