Ice maker won't make ice and water coming of bottom of refrigerator.

Hello:
is the water coming from the ice maker for sure?
It could be that you may have clogged defrost drain line and the water has no where else to go but the bottom of freezer..Defrost happens roughly every 8 hr or so...

It sounds like your ice maker is leaking.
If you are able, try opening up the ice maker for a visual inspection.
just remember to unplug first.
Apparently there is a leak somewhere.
Sometimes ice makers will over flow if the float gets stuck or a connection has come loose.
If you cannot work on it yourself, then I suggest looking up a service technician on the Fixya website.

There is usually a condensation pan at the bottom of a fridge. This can fill with water and over flow, causing what is happening. Also, the ice maker could be causing the problem because the water connections can leak at the back where they connect to the house water system.

Are you sure it's the ice maker that's leaking? We have this model & ours accumulates a HUGE iceberg in the bottom of the freezer, but the water seems to be coming out of the back, at the bottom of the back panel, where the vents are.

check the water solenoid for the ice maker on the back

could be a leaky water valve

Uplug refrigerator and remove the ice maker so we can look at the tube that comes into the back of the ice maker. It maybe the ice maker is calling for water but ice or a crack in the tube that delivers the water is being deverted to inside the freezer area.
