i thought id answered this, if there is an eye glass check the oil level mate, its normally below one of the handles, sometimes you can screw the eye glass off and top up

Bosch hammer uses grease available in repair kit. Check ebay or parts house. Remove four hex bolts on the mid section of the hammer and pull off the lower end. Most of the grease goes here. There is a side cover to expose the drive gears if you hear gear noise. Depending on use, only needs grease once a year. Good luck.

Is that a carbon filter that is circular that fits over just the fan. Not for the little handtools there are 2 different greases depending on the model.

I have a barely used Hammer drill also that will rotate and run motor but does not hammer in any position.

Grease is the issue.....

Heat and sitting causes the grease to weep out & even a small amount of dust binds up the hammer drill.

GREASE, GREASE & MORE GREASE....

REMOVE BIT....SQUIRT IN ALOT OF THE BOSCH GREASE HOLD LOCKING CHUCK OPEN. INSERT A SPLINED BIT INTO THE HOLE AND PLUNGE GREASE IN SLOWLY SEVERAL TIMES. REMOVE BIT & REFILL GREASE & REPEAT.....VOILA.....HAMMER WORKING AGAIN....

The Bosch hammers all use a special grease for the hammering mechanisms. You should be able to buy a small tube similar to the size of a toothpaste tube, from a Bosch dealer or online. The part number is 1615430014. Here is what it looks like.

Bosch hammers work better under all environmental conditions with bosch grease part# 1615430010 or equivalent (such as hitachi, skill, or makita hammer grease). Bosch grease is light, slightly sticky with a high dropping point. If the grease is heavy and really stickey the hammering action will not be as desired and may get vacuum lock and not hit at all. Be sure to store hammer with nose pointing down to prevent hammer/anvel from slipping too far back into cylinder. In the case of Bosch hammers, more is not better. Too much grease has a negetive effect so just light application will go a long way. Good holidays
