It is not ideal having a power strip due to the amps it draws, but the fact it hums, leads my to believe that the start/run capacitor on the motor might be failing.
usually the humming sound is coming from the motor, try this, open the door, turn the drum with one hand and hold the door switch in with your other hand and have someone else push the start button at the same time, this might help the motor turn on but if it does you need a new motor,if you can't turn the drum you could have something stuck in the blower wheel or something jammed in the motor like a broken belt but like i said a humming sound is usually the motor.
sounds like the motor start capacitor is bad causing the unit to stall and pop the internal circuit breaker...you will need to remove the cover and look for the silver can looking component that connects to the motor...you will then need to get a motor start capacitor to repair the problem ..these usually cost about 6-15 dollars at most appliance parts stores...or you can try a place like www.grainger.com
Sounds like your tumbler motor is stuck. Try moving the inside of the dryer. Does it turn freely? If it does then the motor could be defective. If not the dryer tumbler could be jammed.
ok can u turn the tumbler freely,
if no well there is something stuck in you blower like a sock or something
if the tumbler turns freely
keep the door open and hold the door switch
try pushing the start button
and tuning the tumbler, yes all three at the same time lol you may need a hand
try tuning the tumbler when you hear a hum
if it takes off bad news your start winding on the motor is bad or the capacitor depending on your model
if it does not turn, but the hum continues longer than 1-2 minutes it could be just a belt
Hi, Hit the reset again. It sounds like the cutter is lacked up some way. Try using a long wooden spoon ar something simular and see if you ca free up the cutter. If the cutter is free and it still will not work, you will probably need a new disposal. If you are getting no noise after you hit the reset, chack your breakers to make sure there is power to the unit. I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
You'll need a new clock motor or clock unit. Once these units begin to hum, they must be replaced. Parts are available on the web, through supply stores or Sears Parts.
