T-Con board and Main board did not seem to work, Power supply seems to be good as it lights the backlighting as you can seen, the power up tune plays, no onscreen menu or Video, just a light backlit screen. Can you help in any way, also going to contact ShopJimmy for any help also, any direction would be great. Last comment did not make very much since, please let me know with anything, Thanks again, Marc

If the inverter board for backlight get to work so the cause either your lcd panel get malfunction or the t- con board doesn't work.

Testimonial: "The T-Con board has been replaced, the power supply board and the Main board have all been replaced. I have noticed that there are some smaller boards located on the bottom of the TV below the screen. I have not got to them to find out what they are."

How to remove the back of Samsung 940MW LCD TV

Hello,

You will need to take a small flat blade screwdriver and insert it between the two halves of the case and gently pry the two apart. There are latches around the case that just need a little pressure to release. Once you get a few released the rest will pop open as you pull the halves apart. We have some pictures posted on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com Look in the monitor repair section. THere are several repair guides for different brands with pictures of what the release latches look like. If you have any questions just call us at: 318-447-9040

Samsung 940bf-screen stays black

Hello,

Your monitor is having a problem with the power supply. Because of the small spaces in the monitor case heat builds up and causes parts called capacitors to blow. If you can solder you should be able to do the repair yourself. Go to our web page2.gif at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and look at the pictures and repair guides. Open your monitor and look for parts that look like the pictures. Replace any that you see and your monitor should be back operational.Be sure to install the new parts with the polarity stripe on the side going the same direction as the bad ones came out. You will need to replace them with a high quality part with high temp value (105c). If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

My tv wont switch on its clicking and led is flashing?

Your power supply will most likely need to be replaced which is actually a common problem in new electronics. If you have a relay next to the power supply, you can check with a multi-tester or ohmmeter to determine if relay is faulty. Most likely faulty capacitor in the power supply

My monitor 940n samsung syncmaster gone in black...

I have just had this same problem. The problem mostlikely is a blown fuse on the inverter board. Mine was blown on the board and also a Capacitor (470nF/25V) was bad beside the Fuse.

I replaced both and monitor is working now again. After install the picture was a little grainy with little artifacts. In another post i found that the Power Supply board needs to be cleaned for unwanted residue. After that picture was fine again.

BEWARE that you need a soldering iron and a steady hand to replace these parts. If you are unfamiliar with soldering at all have an expert take a look at this. The Power boards uses 220v so DO NOT connect it to the Power when opened.

Samsung 953BW blue power lights just flashes when turned on nothing visible on screen with no computer connected

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.
