To test a flashlight bulb you use an Ohm meter which will detect a broken filament or an open circuit within the bulb. If the bulb is bad it will read "OL" if it's good it will read "00.0"

Snap On Flashlight Bulb Replacement

The Lens is adjustable, you unscrew the top, then pull the Cap, Insert the Bulb (make sure the 2 wires are not twisted) and go straight into the holes. The Replacement Bulb is located down at the Battery Access.

My flashlight just stopped working. when placed on charger, the green charged light appears. How do I know if its a battery or bulb problem?

it's telling you the battery is fully charged so suspect that either the battery is dead or the bulb is burnt out. Get a test meter and test for voltage at the battery. If yes, then the bulb is burnt. If no voltage then obviously the battery is bad

Bosch 36 volt flashlight bulb doesnt last

Here is what I have done for now. I was able to pick up a 24 Volt 10 Watt G-4 Base bulb at a local Boat USA store. So far so good. I had it running for 6 hours straight with no issues and still working.Finding a 36 Volt bulb replacement has been difficult and the bulbs don't last.

Have put new batteries in bulb is ok just stopped workin 5 cell dd batts

First of all are you certain the bulb is ok? Test for continuity across the light bulb. The filament in light bulb will have a very low resistance. if you are not handy with a multimeter then respond back with a new thread and I can give you more tips on using a multimeter.
Next, clean the contact surfaces off where the battery terminals contact the flashlight copper contacts. You can use a high grit sand paper if necessary. They sell battery terminal cleaner solutions/supplies at Automotive stores if you like. However, distilled water and/or alcohol will probably work just as good.
Next connecting one probe of your multimeter to the top inner contact and then the other probe of your multimeter to the lower inner contact turn off and on the switch. When the switch is on, you should see the same resistance that you checked the resistance of the light bulb filament.
If you don't see the same resistance then switch is bad.
If resistances are equal then place batteries back in flash light and everything should be good to go!

Rechargable Stinger new bulb is dim orange

Could possibly be a bad switch, I would also get that battery tested out also. If you still have a receipt it should be covered under warranty. If not try sending it in anyway. Limited lifetime warranty does not include bulb, or batteries but, anything else on that Stinger should have a lifetime warranty. Of course that excludes abuse. Check out the website www.streamlight.com and go to FAQ for a nearest Authorized Service Center or send it directly to Streamlight. Address also listed on the website. Hope that helps ;)

Need to know spacing requirments for magneto on mcculloch model # 600016h. is it possible to test coil and how would you do so?

Spacing is probably .010. You can test it by getting a flashlight battery and light. Connect the base of the light to the spark plug cable. Connect the ground wire of the coil to the bottom of the battery, and hold the other end of the battery on the light. If the light lights, the coil is good. If not, the coil is bad.

Do not use anything over a 1.5 volt flashlight bulb and battery. The bulb does not have to glow, just light, to prove the coil.
