GLTF1240ASO Front Door Won't Lock/Close

Most probably your door lock is damaged. You are not supposed to force it open, you have to wait for at least 2 minutes (or till the lock sign is off) after the wash is over to open the door, never force it.
You can just google your model number and search for parts to obtain it. It is quite possible you can change it yourself. See that the line is disconnected from the mains.

CD DOOR WON'T OPEN

Just below the CD/DVD tray there is a tiny hole. Insert a straighten paper clip in this hole and gently push the paper clip until the CD/DVD tray pops out. You can now pull the tray out until it is in the fully opened position to remove the disc.
Try pushing the eject button to see if the tray closes, then push the eject button to see if the tray opens.
If this foes not work then the CD/DVD drive is faulty and it needs to be replaced.

I have a Philips CDR820 CD recorder/3 CD changer. The CD tray won't stay in. I push the load/close button, but it closes and then immediately opens again. Won't stay closed. Not sure what to...

I have done this job. taking that think apart can be a pain.

There is probably a switch, that is pressed, and senses the closing or status of the tray,
and it keeps resetting. It could be a leaf switch, that would be lucky.
It could be an encased switch. You would need an exact replacement in that case.

The leaf switch could just need to be cleaned with a folded dollar bill.
Its perfect for cleaning a couple of contacts, and its not destructive.

Its a shame to throw something like that away, for such a small problem.

Maybe you could sell it at a garage sale to some kid after you tell 'em what the problem is.

Point being, taking that kind of thing apart, and putting it back together again, might not be worth the stress that goes with it. I've done it because I am POOR, and if I had money, I wouldn't go through that aggravation.

I have the driver CD but the CD slot of my computer wouldn't open up for me to insert the CD. Cannot find the right driver to download from the website. Please show me the link.

There is a small hole on the front of the CD face. You can insert a paperclip to pop it open. Why it won't open is a different problem and would probably require a new drive.
