SOURCE: Dvd will not play movies

If you are getting a blue screen when you try to play the dvd, try this. Hit the input button on the tv remote. A list of items will come up. Hit the input button again and again until you reach the item on the list that says AV. Your dvd should then play just fine. One last thing. Once you get the dvd to play the parental code setting may come up. It says something like the parental code has been set. Select yes. It will ask you for a password. The password is 1369. You should have no problems.
Good Luck

SOURCE: disney cars dvd tv combo

all dvd players have region (1,2,3,4,5) you must check on the back for a number inside of planet, to see what dvd you can use(the dvd must have the same number or region than the dvd)
note for us products is region 1
or you can search on internet for a code to convert you dvd player to multi-region

SOURCE: Disney C1320PTVD TV/DVD Combi. Won't play discs just makes a spinning sound!?

You have to replace the DVD player. The problem is that parts are not available and it's difficult to open the unit. There are about 20 screws to remove, including four screws hidden behind each fender. You have to pry the fenders and rip them off to break two brackets that hold each fender on. The fenders still hold on fine with the remaining seven tabs on each fender. You have to eject the disc to get the mouth off.

I have a working DVD player for sale. It's from a car TV with a defective picture circuit, but the player runs and I hear the movie soundtrack, so I'm 99% sure it's good. I broke the mouth off the player, but it could be glued back.

If you have a good motherboard for sale with a bad DVD player, I might buy the motherboard from you.

DVD player will not play Disney made movies

I don't know what BOLT is, as I fixed my last DVD player 6 years ago at Sony. I think the Disney Format is Newer than your DVD player can read.

I remember Sony had a $5000.00 when new DVD player that was the first generation of DVD's. We would get them in for repair and the guy would say "My Radio Shack $99.00 plays all my DVD's but this $5K FIVE YEAR OLD unit won't play them....

There was NO fix for the problem. The New DVD's were beyond the capability of the 5 year old unit.

SO.. Is the Disney DVD a Blue Ray Disk? Or a new format that your older DVD can't read?

My daughter's disney dvd player wont play disney dvd's any ideas?

I would suspect dirt, either on the disc itself or in the player. The discs and laser head need to be clean to do their job properly. If they are too dirty to operate correctly the machine simply gives up trying as though there were no disc loaded at all.

Disney dvd player wont play movies (dvd) but plays music (cd) fine

Might be the type of movie - some of them are only able to play "G" ratings. Try this: click <play> 1234 <play> It will likely unlock the dvd that is in and will begin to play. You will have to do the 'code' each time, or there's an unlock program you can purchase.

DVD player won't play new movies

Try this

1.While the previews are playing, press the Menu Button on your DVD player remote to access the DVD's Main Menu.
2.Go to Scene Selection and press your Enter or Ok button on your DVD player remote.
3.Highlight Scene 2 and press the Enter or Ok button. This will start the DVD in Scene 2.
4.Use your rewind or reverse button on your DVD player remote to rewind back to the beginning of Scene 1.

Are you trying to play a DVD-ROM? Some sets won't play anything but conventional movies, leaving you to put the disc in a computer to watch it...accordianman

Most DVDs won't play only shows blue screen w/question mark on dvd symbol

The only other thing you can try is to clean the lens manualy.. Ok first take off the top of the unit. Unplugged of course! On the left side facing the front where the disc drawer is, should be a small round disc. To the right of that will be a slider assy. with a small lens attached. Take a cotton swab, and dampen it with regular alcohol. In a swirling motion clean off the lens very lightly, easy does it now. Take the dry end and do the same thing. Now wait 2 to 3 minutes and plug in the unit and see if that helped. If it did great close it up and let the kids have a ball. if it did not help, Well im afraid there are other troubles that a servicer will need to do, but this unit most likly is not worth repairing. Good Luck PS please dont forget to rate this response
