Looking at what the error is, getting into the service mode will not allow you to fix it; you have some parts to replace first.

Step 1:
Put the document you want to fax on the glass scanner.

Step 2:
Adjust quality and contrast to your liking.

Step 3:
Dial the recipients number

Step 4:
Press the "Color" or "Black" button.
After scanning the document press "Ok" to send the fax.

To do this you must first set up the Cannon mx300 for faxing.

Please go the canon service center this the best. bcoz u r not familiar with hardware.

If you browse the canon site the driver is there. Uninstall the existing one, but before you install the new one unplug the printer from the PC and do not connect it till it tells you to.

Go to Cannon Support Download Section and Download Your (Model MX300) Driver to your Computer and Reinstall your Software. See if They Have an Update.
