If it lights up and the fan blows (you hear noise), then you most likely have trouble in the magnetron or it's power supply. UNPLUG unit, remove case and check to see if there is a separate fuse for the magnetron. If not, or if it is okay, is there evidence of parts burned (smell or visual)? With an ohmmeter, test the diode, capacitor and magnetron. With the magnetron disconnected, you should see very low resistance pin to pin (the filament), and very high resistance either pin to ground (the "tube"). If the magnetron is bad, replacements are available online (search using numbers off the magnetron). I hope this is helpful to you.

We have an LG LMVM2075SB over the stove microwave that we purchased in December, 2007. A few weeks ago, several of the positions on the touchpad stopped working.

I assumed that the problem involved the touchpad itself. I ordered a new one (Part number MFM37134802 - $25.30 plus shipping), and we installed it today. This solved the problem.

The installation was not simple. The door has to be removed and disassembled to enable you to get to the connector that connects the touchpad with a circuit board. We heated the old touchpad with a hair dryer and pulled it off (after disconnecting the connector). The new touchpad comes with an adhesive backing. You have to be very careful in placing it because the adhesive is very strong. The touchpad fits in an identation, so the placement of the new one must be perfect.

Failure of the touchpads on these LG models seems to be a common problem. It sounds like a design problem.
