SOURCE: My Samsung p400 laptop won't power on. There are
1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power
adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be
replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the
power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value
written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re
-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try
swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced

Hi there, it sounds like your battery is no longer functional. You will have to replace your battery in order to get this working again. Before you replace it, ensure that the contacts on the battery and the laptop are clean and connecting - the odds of this being the problem are slim, though. -Alex
SOURCE: i have a samsung netbook
I dropped it and My samsung n150 wouldn't come on at all!! Basically i had to disassemble the back and that is when I noticed the switch was a little broke. So i removed the switch and put it back together. Now im using my laptop and have to manually reach in the area the switch was located and turn it on by hand, but atleast it works!!! Hopefully this helps

try removing the battery and just use the mains power. If the laptop works you may need a new battery. If it doesn't your charger is faulty.
