First, turn the camera off and then remove and reinstall the battery. Turn the camera back on. If the clock and battery icons still appear, try resetting the clock. If this doesn't work, contact Nikon technical support at www.nikon.com and see what they have to say. It may require a repair but determine if the camera is still under warranty. If so, Nikon may repair it at no charge.

SOURCE: Nikon D90 Memory Card Access Blinking

It's a deadly common problem of D90. Fixation:Simply go to the DSLR repair shop and ask them to change the power circuit board of the camera. Will take $60-70 if the board available. Reason of issue:The power control IC get short and feedback the battery power to the battery causing the draining out and other problem like the top LCD back lamp turned ON after turning on the camera. Careful:To avoid this issue in future, after full charge of the battery, do not put it in the camera right then. Wait for the battery to cool down for 5-10 min and then put it in. With the full charge, the battery hold high ampere for a short time. It could damage the power distributor IC suddenly if you put it in the camera right after a full charge. Nikon D90. blinking "clock" sign in the top LCD panel. Any advise?

Sounds like you may have a circuit failure. Possibly the phase switch but that is not the usual symptom. In any case this should be sent to Nikon as they stopped selling parts a year ago, and also you need their proprietary software to initialize a new board if it is replaced.

Memory Card Indicator always blinks

Since a couple of months, my "out of warranty" D90 is having a problem.

Even after shutting down the unit , sometimes (post of the time) the green led is blinking (at random speed) untill the battery is 100% down (after half a day).
Switching memory card , or formatting memory card does not help.
Even without lens , problem occurs.
I tried also a other battery pack , same problem...

Anyone has an possible reason why this happens , or a 100% working solution.

PS: D90, battery packs and charger are 100% genuine NIKON.
Regards, Rik

Nikon ML-L3 set up for Nikon D90?

Set the camera's release mode to one of the two remote modes. Quick-response remote mode fires the shutter when you press the button on the release, while delayed remote mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back before firing the shutter.

To change the camera's release mode, hold down the release-mode button to the right of the LCD panel on the top of the camera (marked with the overlapping rectangles) and turn the command wheel on the back of the camera. The icon at the top-right corner of the LCD panel will change. The quick-response remote mode is indicated by a picture of the remote, the delayed remote mode is indicated by both the remote and the self-timer (one-handed clock).

Nikon d90, blinking "Error"

You "release the shutter" by pressing the shutter release button, often called the shutter button. That's the button you press to take a picture :-)

The camera may or may not return to normal after that. If it doesn't, remove the battery, then put it back in and turn the camera on again. Try removing and reattaching the lens (with the power off). If the problem persists, have a certified Nikon tech look at it.
