Ipod cant turn on or be recognized by compter, think due to nod32

I was charging my ipod and all of a sudden nod32(a anti virus program) said there was a virus on my ipod and it deleted it(I think it was autoplay or something). All of a sudden the ipod turned off. Im not able to turn it on, restore it, and my computer doesnt recognize it(shows it unknown and when i click on it it says theres no driver). Can anyone help me?

When I got my iPod I asked the store employee if they could get viruses and they said no, they don't have the same software as computers, so iPods can't get viruses. I've had a similar problem where my iPod won't turn on or be recognized or anything, called Apple support and all I had to do was hold down the home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time for 5-10 seconds and it was fixed! Hope this helps.

Try recharging your ipod for a lil while maybe the battery got weak, nod32 could also be blocking your device, i would suggest uninstalling nod32 and get avg free edition it is a lot better to use.

My computer dosent reeds my ipod

b> IPods are the most popular MP3 player used. The Apple product is compatible with Mac computers and PCs as long as the appropriate programs are used. In order for an iPod to be used, it must be recognized by your computer. At times you may need to do a bit of troubleshooting, but overall, this is an easy task when these steps are followed.

Download iTunes from Apple for free. ITunes is the program needed to use an iPod. The download is safe and will not give your computer a virus. Plug the white connector cord that came with your iPod into the iPod and into the USB drive on your computer. Open iTunes if it does not automatically open when you plug the iPod into your computer. ITunes should automatically recognize your iPod. Unplug your iPod from the computer. Move the toggle reset button at the top to "hold" three times. Then hold the center button and play button to restart the iPod. Repeat steps one through four. If iTunes does not recognize your iPod, unplug the iPod from your computer. Let the battery die. Charge the iPod and plug it into your computer. The computer should recognize the iPod.

Try restarting the iPod and connect it again. If it doesn't recognize it try it on another PC, if it still isn't detected it is the iPod. Buying a Mac wouldn't help nor hurt the situation, it would just be an expenditure.

Reset your ipod and then if you see apple logo hodl down center and play buttons. Then iPodi goes to diskmode, maybe your computer then recognizes it.
You can try also disable a virus protection programs for a second, maybe some program is blocking ipod.

Idiots

Since the device is very popular and has many users, it's likely you'll see more people with problems. I don't think iPods have more problems than other electronic devices or mp3 players in particular.
