Your car won't start as in the battery is dead? In other words, the engine does not turn over OR the engine does turn over, but the car does not start?? The alternator has nothing to do with starting the car. The battery starts the car. So is your battery dead? An alternator will not charge a battery that has seen better days. Take the car in (if you can) to autozone or advance auto and have them test the battery.
SOURCE: Hi car would not start,
I suggest taking the battery out and have it tested first. the heat can kill the charge on a battery even though it is only a few tears old. if the battery test good then have the alternator checked.the alternator on your car is on the right side of the car near the rear of the engine compartment.

Testimonial: "had mechanic check everything out and found some wiring that needed a little help - thank you very much!"

A combustion engine needs three things to start and run. It needs spark fuel and air, my guess if is either a bad coil, fuel pump or worst case timing chain.
