How can i open the door of my washing machine as the start/stop button will not turn off ?

Stopped or Won't Start If the washer won't start or has stopped during a load, verify it has power. Plug a nightlight or other device into the power outlet to test it if you can easily access it. Otherwise, check the circuit box for a tripped breaker. Open and close the lid or door of the machine. If the washer stopped during a wash, adjust the load so that it is balanced. Check if the drain hose is clogged, and clear if needed. Turn the machine on with dry hands. If it still won't start, unplug it or turn the circuit breaker off, then back on until the breaker firmly clicks in place and plug the machine into the outlet. Push the restart button. Some machines may require you set the knob to a specific setting for the reset feature to work. On some machines, hold down the button labeled "Start-Pause" or "Stop" for a slow count of five. Turn the washing machine on. Run a rinse and spin cycle to check that washer is working and that the error code, if applicable, cleared.
Washers Without a Reset Button If it isn't possible to access the washing machine's plug to manually reset the washer, turn off the circuit breaker. Leave it off from 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on the machine model or instructions in the owner's manual. For washers with a knob control, turn the dial clockwise to any cycle other than "Final Spin." With button controls, select any cycle other than "Spin." Check that the water to the washing machine is on. Turn the breaker back on. Turn the washing machine on. Some machines require that you open and close the lid six times after plugging the machine in to reset the motor.
When Reset Doesn't Work In some cases, after using the reset button -- or resetting the washer manually -- nothing happens. Your machine may have a problem or a faulty part that keeps it from operating. Among the most common are problems with door switches, latches or a faulty timer that may require replacement. Authorized technicians can replace parts or service the washing machine as needed. Websites of major manufacturers have replacement parts available to order and some provide schematics or answer your questions. On a recent-model washing machine, check if it's still under warranty.

Push and hold down the start button again. The machine will stop. Turn to Spin (to drain the water that burped into the machine when you turned it on by accident). Hit start, let the drain and spin cycle complete. Hit the key button and you're all set.

hi have you tried turning machine off at plug for a min then power back on put on a cycle press start. wait till it starts to fill and press stop and hold down the reset button till it beeps and wait till door unlocks. Or a quick way to open the door is unclip the foot kick stopper at bottom front of machine and pull the emergency door open which is a thing peace of hanging plastic. if none of this works try starting a cycle then press stop soon as it starts to fill and turn off on machine not at plug. hope this helps.

turn off the unit.use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose this will remove all the water then you can turn it back on and should be able to open the door to get your clothes out.
after all thatis done you need to check the drain pump and make sure there is nothing blocking the pump.other likely problems are the door lock mechanism is bad or the main control board

The problem turned out to be foreign objects in the pump that stopped the machine from draining; the solution is simply to open up the pump and remove the objects!

On my machine which is identical to this one I have to press and hold the stop button to end the programme and then turn off and unplug the machine to reset it. Following this run a spin only cyle(M) to get rid of the water.
Once the machine has drained and ended the M cycle try the door again. If this fails unplug the machine wait for a few seconds and then plug it in again and turn the program knob to any programme but do not start it running, just try the door it should open.
If all this fails it may be a problem with the contacts for the electrical stage of the door release or a faulty door lock.

New door sensor im afraid,unless the machine senses that the door is properly shut none of your wash or spin cycles will start.Sensor located inside washer casing , where lock pin on door handle enters machine.It may just be loose,try tightening the two screws either side of lock keep.If it needs replacing you will need to UNPLUG washer ,remove lid and slide your arm down inside front of washer to access.Good luck.
