If you are having issues with the screen freezing after the press start
screen, this has to do with your automatic I.P. address configuration
on your PS3. On your computer go to the command prompt (to get to command prompt, click START > Run. In the box that opens up, type cmd. This will give you a black window with something written on the top ), Here is a pic:
Type in
ipconfig .It will show you the default gateway for your router/DSL. Type
that into your web browser to access your router configuration. From
there you can find the I.P. for the PS3 and default DNS servers. On
your PS3, go to the network settings and manually enter in the I.P
address for your PS3, the default gateway, and the default DNS
servers. After that, it should load up fine for you.
Note:
You will need the password for your router. Some have defaulted
"admin" as the password, or whatever you used when you set up your
router for your network.
