Hi i have an Allen and Heath ZED 22 with no onboard effects. I would like to use an external Behringher unit but am having difficulty in connecting the processed signal back to the mixer. i would like to...

Send audio from board via the "Aux1 Out" to the input of the effects unit. Now connect the output of the effects unit to "ST1" and control the amount of effects to each channel via each channels "Aux1" control. Adjust the Aux1 controls in the output stage (controls on the right side) for proper levels.

Older boards called this connection "effects send" for the output to the effect, and "effects return" for the effects out back to the board. The better choice was to use "effects send" into the effect but connect the effects output to an unused channel on the board. Using this scenario allowed EQ adjustments to be made before mixing it out to the amps and speakers.

Line 6 how do i get it to work

Line 6 connected to AC power and LED showing power to unit. Guitar into effect input, effect output to guitar amp. Does guitar make sound through amp in bypass mode? No then check cables...yes then use foot switch to turn Line 6 effects unit on. Adjust control knobs for desired effect levels/settings.

If pedal provides no effects...off/on switch defective or internal electronics in need of repair.

How to get efx to work

You are aware that there are no built in effects, correct? Are you connecting an off board effects unit and having problems with that? You should be connecting the effects send on this mixer to the input of the effects unit - then the output of the effects unit to the effects return on the mixer. With the effects send control on the appropriate channel turned up, you should see signal hitting the effects unit. You'll need to adjust the effects return on the mixer to hear the effects signal included in your mixer output.

Crate flexwave 120 tuner and all effects stoped working

Hi there,I have the same problem with my flexwave 120. I opened the amp to measure several capacitors on the small effect circuit board. If one of this capaciters have internal short circuit, wich will effect the others causing effects to fail. I removed them one by one to find possible short circuit. All capacitors were ok. I think the problem is in the processor wich is to diffucult to replace. I think it's easier to replace the effects circuit board. But where do we find this board??10_29_2011_6_25_35_am.jpg

How To Use The effect Loop?

The effect loop is to use exteernal effect module... It is NOT to use guitar pedals !!!! The signals are line levels, NOT guitar type levels. An example of a device might be an Alesis Quadraverb. You take the effect send jack and run it into the inout of the effects module and the output of the effects module into the effects return jack. Many try to use guitar pedals and massive distortion results because levels are too high for the pedals.

How to send effects to microphones

You CAN'T send ANYTHING to microphones since they are INPUT devices.

If you want apply effects to the audio coming FROM them then this is what you do:

Adjust the trim and faders for normal use and verify the mics are working.

NOW for those mics you want to put effects on, turn the knob labled "FX" above EACH mic FADER that you want effects on... it will be the orange topped ones... about the fourth one up ablve the PAN and the two MON knobs. Adjust these to send each mic into the effects mixing buss. Start by setting them at 12 o'clock. You will use these to proportion the amount of effects applied to individual mics.

Next, advance the FX fader/slider to around the Unity mark... this controls the amount of the FX mix buss goes into the FX processor.

Next adjust the knob above the MAIN fader that says FX to Main. This controls the amount of the FX that is sent into the MAIN mix buss...

We are almost there... Select the effect you want with the effect knob to the number of the effect you want... it will be blinking AFTER a change... the effect will NOT have changed yet... WHEN you want the effect to take effect, PRESS DOWN on the effect knob and the effect number will stop blinking and you now have the effects on those mics... ADJUST the three level things... the knbs under each channel to proportion between the mics... adjust the FX fader for the USUAL control of effect amount... and finally the FX to main knb to set the limit of the effect going to the MAINS.

I have just bought a peavey xr800f powered mixer but unable to get echo on mics any help would be appreciated thanks

There are SEVERAL things to set. First is setting the EFX mix for those channels you want the effects to be active. Next, select the effect you want AND the TIME for the effect and FINALLY the amount of the effect output to go to the MAIN and MONITOR outputs. Also the effect disable button below the effects needs to be in the correct state. ALL of these have to be set for using the effects on the mics.

How do i get the effects to work? cant seem to get the effects to turn on, for behringer pmp3000

You have to select an effect, push down the selector knob to lock it in. You have to send signal to the effect by turning up the effect in the "strip" above the slider. You have to turn up the effect sent to the main below the effect window, and finally use the effect slider to control the amount of effect. There may also be a button to toggle the effect on and off near the effect number window.
