Instead of tones, I am getting clicks when I try to dial. Not recognized by the phone line.

You need to set your phone to emit tone sounds when dialing instead of the clicks. It is a setting in your phone's personal settings.

My phone show in use. Therefore I have no dial tone. I unpluged all phones and still no service.

Maybe your line is out of service, you can test it by connecting a standard wired phone to the line cord instead of your wireless phone base, if you have dial tone, the problem is at your wireless phone system, if there's no dial tone it could be a cable failure or in the central office, in this case you have to report it to the corresponding phone company.

How to get phone back to tone dial instead of pulse dial

Since you declined to specify the model of your Uniden cordless phone, I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual. The manual will explain how to switch between tone and pulse dialing.

My panasonic kx-tga431al has all of a sudden changed the dial tone. instead of the regular tone, it now has a tone that sounds like a busy signal... what do i do to fix this?

Hi,

Have you set up 'Call Divert' which returns a 'Broken Dial Tone'

Dial #21# if it is on a Single Line Telephone, or if fitted on a Business System check programme for 'Call Forward'

Comdial Executech 6714x-PG We have nearly 20 phones. All of them get a dial tone but nothing happens when you press 9 to dial out, none of the phones will dial out. Calls can come in only. Thank you

they are either restricted or what you are hearing is intercom tone and not dial tone. the phones may be set to dial out from a diffrent line grop as well have you tried dialing 81 82 instead of 9 and see what happens

I get a dial tone / cannot dial out

put the phone to your ear and press any digit---you should hear a short burst of tone--if not you may be analogue pulsing which takes forever wait wait wait or change your phone to send tones instead.do this or check this in the menu for whatever kind of phone you are using....i hope this helps
